didnt explain what counts as employment though. For example, is the period of a medical leave of absence from an employer still employment (assuming the foreign national has proper authorization before the leave of absence)?

If my mother in law got here and now has a social security number but no green card can she work my wife's said see might still need a work permit? Her case is for permanent residence

Hi. When you said about excemption for bar, you've mention parent of a child. Did you really mean under age 21 who is born in usa or 21 and older? I couldnt find that info? Could you please clerify

I have a US BS and MS in civil engineering from an american univeristy. I have now found work. I would like to accept this work. I plan to get married within the next two years to my gf. Would i be able to adjust my status ? Would my unauthorized employment be problem ?

Can one adjust status through i601 waiver if you have unauthorized work record in the US? Petitioner is a US citizen parent who passed away

@@78percent34taxes filed, social media etc. lawyer said they check on social media plus you should never lie to immigration as that’s denial of your visa if u do.

If someone is adjusting through marriage, it will be forgiven. But in any other green card process, they will be denied so it can be tricky

@@78percent34 yes a lot of things are forgiven through marriage you don’t even need an 1601 waiver most of the time you can adjust status in the US, no need for consular processing. I601 waiver is an overseas waiver that u need to get from your home country
