Great video Sir. I have a Ruger American in 22wmg and my trigger is a little heavy for my liking. Thanks for the extra tips on safety demonstrating a dropped rifle. Have a great day
I appreciate your abundance of caution. I see too many people on RU-vid videos less cautious with loaded weapons than you are with those you've already proved safe.
Have already made arrangements to pick up a Ruger American in 270 at a local gun show this weekend. Great info on how to adjust the trigger pull. Thanks.
Fairly impressive trigger on that ruger and even cooler is that trigger scale system. My buddy with his Savage lifted the rear end of his pickup truck before that plastic trigger assembly released haha
I just bought this rifle and was curious about the trigger adjustment. Mine is a bit heavy and causes my grouping to go left (I am right handed but, shoot left handed). I want to thank you for the informational video and especially thank you for all the safety tips. I am a very safety conscious person so I love when someone helps me stay safe.
my Ruger trigger came over 5 lb of pull could not get it under 4 lb with set screw.. instead of buying those cheap aftermarket spring I cut my lifetime heavy duty factory spring just a bit.. test under 4 lb so I cut it just a bit more short enough for a two and a half pound pull.. I did this with the adjustment screw loose now I can tighten it back up to 4 lb if needed. A strong word of caution,,,, a very light trigger pull can be very dangerous..! during freezing cold weather just by moving the gun from safety to fire.. boom.. guess how I found that out..
