Hey, just got this chair, im around the same height as you. How many "clicks" from the top to the buttom is your lumbar support? Im finding it difficult on where it should land.
Bonjour.
thx for the video, recently i bought a secret lab titan evo 2022. and i have extreme lower backpain. maybe it is cauz im not used 2 sitting properly. i tried 2 use the lumbar. 2 pull it out of the chair a bit but then it feels like i have a knife in my back, and i didnt rlly knew how 2 use the height lumbart but ehen u gave the tip i will try it. i still dont know how 2 use the right lumbar of the chair 2 see how far i should pull the lumbar out of the chair so maybe u got some tips on that. ty for the video!
ThankYou for this review.. Question I’m from USA and how can I order this chair and how much is this chair.. I did check the link you have given, it’s not giving any info how to order and the price.. please let me know, thank you 🙏😊
You're welcome! Honestly, I don't know how they operate in the US. There's a showroom in Austin and I have seen one in NY (Madison str.) when I was there. They might also have some partners elsewhere... but I think the best is to send them an e-mail: info@kinnarpsusa.com
My friend... you cannot imagine how many hours I battled with the stupid audio stuff. Now it seems more or less fixed but the older videos are indeed not that great in this respect 😨
Hi Olivier! I love your videos. I have a question about sitbone discomfort. Since I started sitting properly on my sitbones as you described in a video, I feel discomfort at my sitting bones. I can't sit for longer than 10 minutes like that even though my chair (BMA Axia Office) has a few centimeters of padding. I used to slouch and sit on my tailbone before. Do you think this discomfort is because I never sat properly and it is something you get used to over time?
Hi Etienne!! Thank you mate! This is another great question :) The human body's only surface which is meant to bear our weight is the feet sole. And the buttock area only gets used to it... However, this should be largely the case for you as an adult! My first guess would be to blame a mismatch between you and the chair: like a Mercedes lover buying an Audi, kind of. Great cars, but not the same comfort. This can also happen when the chair gets old and the foam is less absorbing. Can you try to put an additional thin cushion under your buttocks to see if things get better? You may want to put an anti-slip mat under the cushion to avoid that it glides on the seat pan...
What is the right posture with a lumbar cushion (shaped like a roll) ? We cannot really sit fully in the back of the chair right ? The cushion puts to much pressure on the back and it makes the back very hollow if I try to put my upper back against the back of the chair. Thanks !
Yep, you're right, cousin from far away 😉... you can't lean back with a lumbar cushion (which is the reason why I can't recommend normal lumbar cushions in a car: imagine the consequences when you have an accident!). This is why a lumbar cushion was a solution for the 1st lock-down, but on the 2nd one it was time to buy a chair! Makes sense?
Hi. Really like your videos on ergonomic chairs. I have a question about my recently bought one. It has this lumbar support advertised as micro-elastic automatic lumbar pillow. The thing is, whenever I start sitting down on the chair, the back of my shirt, which touches the support, is pulled up and causes a bit discomfort (I have to readjust the shirt everytime), and I believe it is because of that rigid lumbar pillow. Any solution?
The only idea that I have is that this could be provoked by a very slight slouching movement when you sit. You could try to put a small piece of anti slip mat under your butt to see if it reduces the issue. To see what I mean with this thing, check out this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0quZfD50aSs.html. Do you think it could help?
@@OlivierGirard I don't think it's because of the slouching movement. I recorded a video that demonstrates the issue. Is there a way for me to send it to you so you can take a look? RU-vid doesn't seem to allow me to post link in the comments.
I see many chairs that say: height adjustable lumbar support, but they dont seem to move the back up and down. Instead they have some kind of plastic supporting the mesh. Is this ok? Thanks!
You're right. The thing with these plastic bars is that they tend to create pressure points against your pelvis. Some of them have it padded, that's usually more comfortable. But definitely, you need to test before you buy...
@@OlivierGirard I bought one of those chairs(plastic with padding) and im wondering if you get used to the presure Point.. I have problems sitting in it for more than 1,5 hours and im wonder ing if it's just takes a while to adjust from a gaming chaie with no lumbar support to an expensivd chair with.
hi Olivier, 1st of all very nice video. 2ndly I have a slight pressure on my L5-s1 disk and I'm a software engineer. Can you please suggest to me some exercises(and or something else including exercises like posture etc) to improve it? or make a video regarding this topic so it will be helpful for others as well, you explain very well. Thanks, Asad
Hi Asad! I think that the best for you would be to follow the protocol I have published for disk hernia: it works for less severe cases too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jbV2s3o0VoQ.html
