If you read Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga, it all centers around Adlerian psychology and even includes Adler's separation of tasks.
I was a ruling child when I was young, I used to fight and push others, in photos I always used to play with a sword and push people behind me so I can fight instead. I've been late-diagnosed with ADHD, and my teachers used to shame me in front of the class for being loud, forgetting things, being bored by the school, and being hyperactive. After I finished school, I developed into an avoiding/learning type. Very low energy, low social skills, alcohol problems, and insecurities.
Hi Alex. Thank you for sharing. It's not easy to identify oneself, and accept what we are. It never has been. You've managed to analyse yourself and know where you stand. You know how you got here. And I am pretty sure you will now learn how to get things right and head in the right direction. Since you've got this far, you'll be alright in the long run.
Defo agree with the birth order I know many of the youngest in family's with multiple problems, unfortunately I am an avoidence type ,who has never took any Risks
@@maxo4725 I also agree with the 4 personality descriptions to ,I have encountered ruling type personalitys before (Bully's ),tht like to try and control, dominate ,and have no compassion for the people they are doing it to.they usually pick on the weaker type people,(non risk taking/avoidence) personalitys.i know this from experience unfortunately.

...yes hi!...may i know your references for this video please. i am writing my thesis on Positive Discipline and i am certain this video would be such a great help. Thank you
Hi Suzanne. There are multiple sources referred to. The best way to make use of this resource is to cite this tutorial itself through a APA citation. See below: MisterSimplify. (2019, October 19). Adler's Theory of Individual Psychology - Simplest Explanation Ever [Video]. RU-vid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MJUBHyxDq6Y.html
Thank you very much for the explanation. May i have the pdf/doc copy of this Adler's theory. I really need it for my upcoming class presentation. Thank you❤
Hello! You're most welcome. Unfortunately, I am away from home at the moment, and have no access to the files of this tutorial. It'll be several days before I get access to my old laptop. It's a simple presentation though. The best and quickest way is to view the video repeatedly, and make notes on the same. You can easily create your own version of the slides and use it for your presentation.
Hi Anwar. According to Adler, people have one of his 4 types of personality. People are born with inferiority complexes and are motivated mostly by social influences and by their need for superiority or success. This need is what drives people towards one of his 4 personality types. Hope this makes sense. :)
Being no expert, it seems though that these principles and key ideas are pretty limited due to the effect of category thinking and generalization. They might seem to apply in certain individuals but what about the vast complexity of the others? I'm assuming though there might be more nuances to his theory beyond this simplified explanation.
Hello! There is certainly more to Adler's theory than what's covered here. Like most other topics covered here, it gives you a brief understanding of the concept, makes it as simple as possible and gets you started on the journey to covering all aspects. I am sure you'll be able to dig deeper into this topic now and find out more! :)
Adler was removed by the BBS this year or last year from the therapist MFT exam, at least in California. Due to not having enough empirical evidence to show its effectiveness in treatment. I disagree somewhat, and will continue to use value exercises and encourage clients to find meaning by engaging in pro-social activities to bring them more self-efficacy. I still also think birth order is important, but you can use family theories to analyze the dynamics of the family members. However, there's no evidence the birth order actually creates roles like this, right??
Hello! That's correct. There isn't sufficient evidence in favour of birth order. A group of researchers studied about 300K students and published in the journal of research in psychology that 'Birth order is a bit like a horoscope, in that it presents you with vague enough traits that it’s easy to project them onto yourself'. And it makes sense, because human beings do like to slot themselves into categories.
Maybe for the birth order, this is with the same gender. I'm the oldest of 3 and the only girl. I do not repeat DO NOT compete with my younger brothers. Everything else is right on except feeling dethroned. I don't live with them and what they do is their own decision it doesn't affect me.
This is one of the reasons Adlerian psychology is so interesting. Owing to your situation, you don't agree with the findings. And many others agree. But either way, it's easy to agree or disagree with his findings.
I am a firstborn, but I feel like a middle-born. My younger brother got superior genes and was blessed with an imposing frame and an arrogant hyper-aggression. I am definitely in the avoiding type, thanks to my defective genetic makeup, but my fantasies are replete with sadism, malicious intent, and medieval levels of violence. The only things that give me pleasure are seeing others suffer from physical pain and scoffing at people who make small mistakes. I am in a perpetual state of envy and bloodlust due to irrepressible feelings of inadequacy, but my revenge is not to tear others down for their success - it is to retaliate with calculated, drawn-out psychological torture for addressing me with any form of aggression. For the ones I really hate - disagreeable extroverts and abusers of vulnerable people - I'll groom them into falling in love with me then stab them in the back. Maybe then they'll know how it feels to be toyed with then thrown out like a candy wrapper.
Hmm. Thanks for sharing, buddy. There's good and bad in us all. I am sure you'll find your inner peace some day, and will want to look at the world through a different lens. Either way, I wish you good health and happiness!
Hi Charles. It's interesting that a few first born people seem to agree with him in the comments right here. But yes, one just cannot generalise, and expect that one size would fit all!
Damn, I didn't know that Russel Adler also made a theory on psychology. I thought he was just a CIA agent. I guess that makes sense with what he did to Bell. Oh well.
@@MisterSimplify why not remove the music completely? It's like added sugar, adults do not need to be mollified in this way. This is a symptom of dumbed-down culture, Adler, for heaven's sake, is not bubblegum.
