At the moment I was not able to demonstrate my credits earned in my current italian university. Is it possible to trasnfer credits even after the application? Just to be clear, I've already saved my spot without demonstrating english proficiency (for which I'll take english composition 1) and also without uploading transcript for credits (I have to use some evaluation services that will calculate the US equivalent for each course).

Hi Andrea, yes, you'll be able to transfer your credits after you complete your foundations courses (3 to 5 courses) depending on how soon you meet the GPA requirements.

Good day UoPeople, I will just ask for instance a person has a bachelor's degree from a non american institution and he'll do transfer credits is he/she still allowed to apply for an scholarship if he/she is not financially stable? Thank you

Hi Mond, if such a person is applying for admission to our Associates or Bachelors program, we do not consider them for a scholarship since they already have a Bachelors degree. That said, if the person applies to our M.Ed. program, they can apply for the IB scholarship for the M.Ed. program here: ibo.org/professional-development/which-type-of-training-is-right-for-me/university-of-the-people/ib-scholarships/

Greetings, My credentials were sent to UoP around Sept. 12. Would they be evaluated before classes start in November? I also have my HS diploma from the USA and other online courses that I had studied, but I was not able to send them when I secured my spot. How can I send it to the university? Thanks.

Hi Amor, yes if you already completed the transfer credits process in your portal, you will receive an update about this within 2 weeks. You'll see the option to upload your high school diploma in your portal shortly after you have been admitted and you save your spot.

It depends on the university. Some of them accept, some of them not. If you have specific universities in your mind, it would be better if you ask them on time.
@uopeople

Hi Alexander, outside our partnership with LIU, each institution has complete discretion as to which bachelors degrees they accept to their programs; feel free to ask any US university you have in mind directly whether they will accept our Bachelors degree towards their program.

Hi Akash, it depends on which of our Masters programs you apply for, if you apply for our M.Ed. program there is no experience requirement for M.Ed. However, if you apply for our MBA program, yes, you need to have at least two years of work experience, your internship experience can be counted as part of your work experience in this case.

Hello university of the people, how long does your bachelor's degree take? is it 3 years like standard universities?
@andrew_slash
@andrew_slash 3 года назад
Hello man, Actually as far as I know, a bachelor degree takes 4 years in USA, whatever the college/university is. There is also the possibility to enroll to a Associate of Science or Associate of Arts (it is a bachelor associate I guess) that takes 2 years to be achieved. Let's say that the last one is the first level of a bachelor, but you can always continue your studies after that

I am confused about the course registration for new term (for new students), platform shows me that registration is currently closed and will open 4/2 to 4/5, but academic calendar drastically differs from that, which shows that registration process will be from 2/15 to 3/17. Next terms start at 8th April, so how can I register for the courses? Advisor doesn't reply on time, that's why I am asking here...

Hi Uma, if you're asking whether we accept transfer credits from other accredited institutions, yes we do. Some of your credits might transfer and help reduce the time it takes you to complete your program with us. You need to first get your transcript evaluated, if your credits were earned at a non-US institution, you need to upload a credential evaluation report which can be obtained from one of the organizations mentioned at the links below -- when you submit your transfer credit request in the portal: www.naces.org/members.html or aice-eval.org/members/ Thereafter, please start your online application at the link below. You will be able to apply for transfer credits in your portal: www.uopeople.edu/application/ After you submit your transfer credit request and the credential evaluation report, our office of transfer credits will review it and let you know which credits can transfer to your program with us.

Apply for the scholarship, if you show them the real reason why you can't make the payments, they will cover even the application fees. I have requested for that and I have received the scholarship ^-^
@uopeople

Hi Arun, you will be able to apply for scholarship to help you with the course assessment fees -- after you have been admitted. I must also inform you that the available scholarships are limited and they are awarded to students on a first-come-first-served basis, and we do not guarantee that all students will receive scholarships. If you already started your online application, please send an email to your admissions advisor or to admissions@uopeople.edu to request a grant to assist you with the application fee.
