hi, nice video. may I ask what is the fuse amp rating of that psu? I searched the internet and it says 5ah but mine says it is 4ah. also what would happen if I replace a 4ah fuse with a 5ah? any help would be great thanks
Hello, I congratulate you very good the videos Have you ever fixed an ADP-200ER with the 3n62k3 mosfet and resistance 16.8 (short) in the model ADP-200ER change the mosfet 3n62k3 and the resistance 16.8 and when the test burns again the mosfet 3n62k3 and the resistance 16.8 Do you have any advice that can help me?
Are you able to tell me which values of a mosfet are important when looking for a replacement? specifically an n-ch mosfet K10A60E on a ps4 adp-200 power supply
Hi, same PSU the 12v where going the two long pin in the motherboard, when I tested in the PSU I don't have voltage, is normal or thats the problem with the blue light only????

PS4 Repair 101 Can you help me? I have no power when trying to turn it on but the eject button does beep 3 times. why is that? Is that still a power issue. Tried to look for it and when i messure the voltage when triggered i messure 8 volts..that should be 12v right? Im very handy with Soldering but usally I build quadcopters lol so i dont know much about circuit boards. Hope you can help!
Manuel Smeets it means you have 5v standby power. But your not getting 12v. So. Something on the board is blown/faulty. Follow along with my videos. Most power supplies are pretty much the same.
Hello, excellent video. I am trying to repair the ADP-240CR source for ps4, I don't know the differences between the one you repair in the video and the one I am trying to repair. It would have the schematic of the ADP-240CR. They are very similar but I need the schematic. In my case, the source does not turn on or bridge pins 1 and 3 of the connector. Thank you
Hello, I am not sure, but the value of the original (fat) fusible resistor is 0.16 Ohms? Am I reading it wrong? And you changed it to a 16.2 Ohms? Or am I overlooking something? Regards,

I am working on one of these which has 5V output, but no 12V, It was causing the Blue light of death. I purchased a replacement PSU and the PS4 works fine now, but I kept the faulty one to repair. I have faults with Q101 and Q102. They say 9990G1 on them. For the life of me I cannot find them to buy or even a alternative mosfet to fit and try. So frustrating when you find the faults but not the spares to fix. :) Any ideas on what exactly Q101 & Q102 can be replaced with. They are identical?
So I ended up finding correct parts for Q101 and Q102 on Ali Express. Still didn't work. No 12v output. With no visible signs of damage, or defect there was little to go on. The 5v output rail working, so I ruled out a lot of primary side issues on the 5V side of things. So I went a littler further back on the 12V side of things and replaced the two surfaced mount transistor IC. Still didn't work. I was about to bin the board, when I decided to short the 5V+ supply rail to the standby pin which WAS NOT pins 1 and 4 on my board on output connector. It was pin 1 and 3 as far as I can remember, or possible 2 and 4. Lets just say it says it on the board which is 5Ve and Standby pins. After shorting the 5V+ rail to standby pin I got 12 Volts switched output. So I have managed to fix it I think. Either that, or there is a switching fault. I had ordered a new one for my sons PS4 ages ago which fixed the original fault PS4 blinking blue light fault due to no 12V. My guess is that the Q101 and Q102. did fix it, but there is also a possibility that the 2 x surface mounted IC's fixed it on the primary side of the 12V rail transformer.
Hey I have the same power supply but my PS4 would turn off randomly. Have confirmed that it's the supply because I ran it off of an ATX supply and it worked. Can you tell what could be an issue??

@@josemariacastillolopez5122 Gracias amigo!, compré hace poco una resistencia de 14ohm a 1/2 watio pero al probarlo quemó el mosfet que esta junto y la resistencia :( la verdad no se que sera. intentaré con uno de 15 ohm y le pondre un mosfet nuevo, solo que tardara porque lo pedí por alliexpress. (tengo dos fuentes del mismo modelo ADP200ER y las dos tienen fallas) :(
Amigo José Maria castillo López, entré al grupo de FB de este canal, presenté este problema y al parecer no era de 16.2 ohm sino de 0.16 ohms, la verdad no me siento muy seguro, en el video no distingo muy bien los colores pero sé que son de 5 bandas veré mejor, si tienes más info me lo haces saber por favor 👍✌️
