@Bobbadelic: Vala understood the threat Adria represents to the galaxy and was willing to kill her for that. Adria on the other hand was hoping in vain to bring Vala into the Ori and in some sense was trying to form a mother-daughter relationship. Of course, that relationship would never work considering they both have the hots for Daniel and the whole galactic domination thing that Adria has.

Imho Adria was the weakest villian and esp in the Ori arc the pther Ori never rwaly showing up gave them an mysterious aura and while somewhat declawed the Prior were still kinda unnerving/creepy. Adria was kind of "look i am mighty but love my mom" bumbling around overall she took some of the fear/unstopable beyond understanding aspect away.
What's ironic about this scene is that eventually Valla absolutely came to believe the truth it just wasn't Alia's truth, it was the Truth that the ancients were right about the Ori History.

The introduction of the Ori as "evil" ascended beings changed the previously established information about Ascension. Before them, "Ascension" not only required a clear spirit and a goodness to the core. Those were also the guiding principles in the episodes about ascension on SGA. So I wonder if Ascension was then reduced to a mere state of evolution, not requiring any goodness of character. What could be is, that the first Ori that ascended actually had that kind of goodness. Obviously Ascension wasn't pursued back when the Ancients were the Alterans. That was very likely a conflict on the "mortal" levels. As there was "peace" in the Ori galaxy afterwards, the Ori might've come down to a religious cult, focused on meditation and their own mind, not necessarily having "evil" thoughts. So in a way they ascended with a clear conscience and a "good" spirit. But ascended as they were, they grasped the power they now wielded, helped a few selected friends to ascend themselves and then used those powers. Maybe not even malevolent. They probably did a few things here and there, and when people started to believe in them as gods, they noticed the flow of energy towards them. And since power always corrupts, they wanted more and forced their religion onto as many people as possible, probably wiping out their technologically advanced society and replaced it with a medieval culture. The Ancients probably had a very similar experience. They ascended, but the first to ascend didn't ascend their friends. Their interest in science probably made them explore their new world and their believe in free will prevented them from playing god. Some probably still did some things here and there - but their interference lead to a disaster (the invention of the christian religion on Earth perhaps?), so they swore to not interfere at all and made newly ascended Ancients abide by those rules. Ascension itself, as we later learned, was very rarely achieved by ordinary people. Most of them ascended with the help of others. Maybe some early Ancients even helped others ascend. We learned that Anubis was able to deceive Oma Desalla to make her help him ascend - so it is very likely that not all of the Ascended in the Milky Way are of an uncorrupted spirit and share the guiding principles the early Ancients, especially those that ascended by themselves had. That might've led to the "extreme" pursue of the non-interference policy by the collective, up to a point where they were threatened with their own extinction. But maybe they weren't at risk of being wiped out by the Ori. We've seen Orici ascend and travel back to the Ori-Galaxy in some way or form. There are also Ascended Ancients in the Pegasus galaxy - Morgen Le Fay somehow traveled between the Milky Way and Pegasus. So if threatened with extinction, the Ascended in the Milky Way would've very likely fled to other galaxys. The universe is large, after all. One interest plot hole comes to mind however. The weapon to destroy the Ori was built with Ancient knowledge in the Milky Way and then send to the Ori galaxy via supergate. The gate was obviously blocked, until the weapon went through. But after Orici/Adria ascended, why didn't she use her knowledge of the weapon - as an ascended being, and after witnessing Danielmerlin built it from scratch firsthand - to have her followers build a similar weapon and send it to the Milky Way to destroy the Ancients? Did the Ancients perhaps know about the danger of such a device and evacuate the Milky Way already? That would explain the Ori ships in the season 10 finale being able to detect the Odyssey - they had help from Orici.

Adria s'est à la fois la mer Adriatica et la region de Venetia plus le delta du fleuve. Tout le secteur fut la principale porte d'entrée avec el Andalousia pour que vous gardiez une connexion avec nous le monde civilisé ! Pendant des siècles sa a permit de garder un lien même au 17eme ou le commerce par l'atlantique ne pouvait pas amener de grosse quantité comme au 19eme et pas aussi rapidement que les routes méditerranéennes
What I suspect happened with the Ancients and the Ori is the Ori probably used the Ancients technology to enhance themselves and the nonce they were properly enhanced even if it were just one they likely ascended and helped the rest of their kind ascend while the Ancients also helped their people ascend giving them a balance which thwarted the Ori's plans. The Ancients likely came to this galaxy to stay out of the way of the Ori and their actions in the other galaxy while the Ori began to build followers and destroy those who didn't worship them. Eventually the Ori became a threat to the Ancients but the Ancients did nothing but collectively keep the Ori out of their Galaxy (the ascended at least) but the Ori were persistent and likely sent followers in order to continue converting humans.

Je pense qu'il est fort possible qu'il existe différentes humanité parallèles avec les même personnes mais des scénarios différents comme par exemple Constantinople serait tomber bien plus tôt, avant le 10eme siècle et sans qu'aucun sorcier puissent semer les graines de la salle renaissance de merde en Italie, ce qui donnerait une Europe plus faible sans la révolution industrielle anglaise mais plutôt une en Chine ou en Inde avec des hindous qui n'auraient pas pu prendre le pouvoir
