@@vangelisv3569 english has a ton of passion, especially in that “GOD DAMN IT” but spanish sounds like it’s being read off a script, props to the VA for doing it as well as they could
Been watching a *ton* of these lately, and the takeaway for me is every version has its strengths and weaknesses, but in just about all of them Erwin is just a certified badass. It is a little unfair that english Erwin uses some extra words to emphasize his point though.
I think all seven did it wonderfully, the most powerful emotion that comes in it is the belief or conviction for the greater cause and even face of death there isn’t even a slip or hesitation when speaking that words, you hear it in Martin Luther King, or Nelson Mandela, something that maybe no longer exist, thank you for the upload
@Wind Rose would a shout really echo in a open field? I feel like the Italian voice actor made it more believable in that sense as he fades his voice towards the end...even if the voice acting itself leaves more to be desired
does anyone know if the sound mixing is done better on the Blu-ray version of the japanese? Because I feel that while both performances were excellent, the english dub hits the hardest because it is made does sound like everyone involved is screaming in an open field. The dub sounds like it is meant to be seen with a home theater setup.
And people still say English is bad, but in fact it’s the best. Emotional, strong, credible. High quality recordings and good translations. And the best voices as a matter of fact.
Japanese is my favorite but the English VA is also very good. My only issue with it is the "God damn it" line. Just doesn't feel like something anyone would say in the world of AoT.
Japanes: Shows that less words can be more impactful English: Shows the most emotion and urgency German; Is the most in synch with the music and delivery. I think English is the most realistic. It really captures how important this battle is. And I imagine someone getting mauled would use language like “goddamn it”.
Everything is fine except the echo in the English dub. What's up with every recent English dub being that way tho? Personally, I loved the Eng dubs in the DBZ era. But when I saw Dragonball Super in Eng dub, I didn't enjoy it because of the echo
@@jeremyfuentes1806 Yeah thats what I was gonna say... pretty sure the echo effect is mostly for realism and to emphasize the power of the characters statement. It also helps to give the audience goosebumps.

English Erwin sends chills down my spine and makes me want to charge to my death. German Erwin made laugh my ass off. Voice actors make a huge difference.
Japanese is generally the best for everything, you can watch and be almost be completely cringe proof. But to say that English is just trash no matter what (especially for native English speakers) is just cringe . Here I prefer the English.
@@CtefoxZeus yea don't get me wrong sub is good first anime I liked both sub and dub...besides one punch man but anyways aot just has better stuff like more lines BETTER line infact , they also have more roars from the titans like the colossal and etc. Etc.
If erwin trash talked often then i getcha but if its just this one time thing, but this dude is literally about to not have an arm anymore, ill gladly set this one instance aside xD Frankly I'm surprised he didn't become incoherent from the sheer agony after effectively having a limb forcibly removed
