Just wanted to thank you for apparently being one of the only people who tried putting a D4V2 in one of these! I've been looking at their Knife Clip because I carry a thinner pocket knife, but the .91 inch flashlight pocket would potentially be completely prohibitive for the D4V2 flashlight, so I may have to bite the bullet and get the full sized mulitool holster with the XL flashlight pocket. Thanks for posting this!
I'm very happy to have helped. That was one of the reasons I made a couple videos; I couldn't find many videos longer than 2min that weren't simply unboxing or Olight fanboys. Nothing against Olights....except their proprietary batteries...🤣
I am a knife person who doesn’t like using clips after loosing a knife. I found this company and because I carry a different size each week and his pouch accommodate my knives. Awesome Craftsmanship
You must work for the company I ordered one and the description clearly stated what it would fit they sold it so flat there was no way anything would fit never again
They're junk they sewed mine so flat and tight that when I ordered it the stuff they said that would fit there is no way I bought the stuff in advance so when this pouch came I would have all the tools that it was supposed to be able to hold you can't get nothing to fit that they said in their description would fit tiny expensive useless
I don't get it. Why start with a leather holster then work backwards to the tools you carry? Why not choose the tools first, then have leather custom made?
I just got my slim jax and I love it. I got it in black with grey threads since I'm Carrying all titanium light pen and knife. My question is do u have to use conditioner or clean it or u only do they if it gets dirty? How has it lasted all the time you've carried it?
I do condition all my leather, but sparingly. I don't mind knocks and scuffs. Patina is good. I'll condition 1-2 times a year as needed to maintain the integrity of the leather, not so much for the looks.
I got the one that you're showing Expensive junk when in your description you tell people what it will hold you buy one and nothing will fit can you pay that kind of money it was sewn so tight he wasn't getting anything in it
Awesome helped me a ton. Counts decide to get the clip or not for locking the leather man in. Don’t think I will, I like it open. Why did you go back to clips from the belt loop option? Did/do the clips stab into at any time? What position does this fit best at? 3 o’clock or does 6 work?
i apologize but we have difficulty ordering from the country I live in. I know a local leather maker who accepts design. I will be asking him to make a tale of knive inspired design for personal use probably big boy flap. its great that we have sources of great quality around our area. would you recommend a XL size holster or would it make a hip or cyatica problems in long use? I use a holster and a wave and a day after I had pain on the side that I wore it. I am not sure if it is just coincidence as I am driving 12 hrs straight at work non stop at times.
Tale of knives These are junk expensive junk I ordered one and using what they said that it would hold I bought it in advance for when the product came I would have all the flashlight multi-tool pin that supposedly would fit in it they sewed it so flat and tight nothing fits never again
I paid in 2021 130usd for one of this holsters, thinking you had to invest in "quality". The stitches came loose less than12 months later (around month 8). The brand NEVER answered a single email i sent them. To anyone that wants to purchase from this brand, youve been warned.
@@ksajak Yeah, heavier items may have a way of working loose when you are active. Have to think about this one since this is pricey in 🇨🇦with shipping. Looks like a quality item. You 🇱🇷have everything! Not sure why anyone there shops in China.
This is very insightful, thank you! Just have one question, do you have any problems with your leatherman falling out? I see some having a button flap, trying to decide if I need it, since these things cost quite a bit.
No issues with retention whatsoever. After it has broken in, it's easy to remove the tools, but they're absolutely secure and don't slip in the slightest.
Nothing against those. So far I've met 3 other people that went the Amazon route and stopped me to ask where I got mine. Each one then brought their wife over and showed her the difference. Lol
@@kds471 a Chinese company is copying them already and are identical as far as I can tell. leather doesn't cost that much. so it ridiculous that these are over 100.
I'm sorry, but there is absolutely ZERO reason for a flashlight to have software. It's a light. It needs to turn on. It needs to turn off. End of story.
Sure, a mechanical switch is all that's required for a flashlight. But if that single switch cycles through various brightness levels, it's likely accomplished through software. And if there is software, wouldn't it be ideal if you could customize it exactly how you wanted? Just as an example, if I press and release the button the light activates in full brightness but if I press and hold it comes on in a moonlight mode.
