i still love my challenger standard .357 big bore w/side leaver , it has out preformed my wildest expectations. currently shooting and loving 160gr swc hollowpoints with steel bb's pressed into them. its a one shot slug...
@@akenedy youtube is deleting any actual hashlinks i comment so google it my friend. also graf and sons has good lead . but i only shoot reload bullets (that is slugs to you) in my vbig borwe .357
@@THE_LAST_WORD I had already googled "160gr swc hollowpoint slugs" and get nothing relevent. If not a website address, then just a company name would go a long way.
@@akenedy like i said youtube is deleting actual hashlinks, i tried, expended energy on you and nothing, so listen carefully and type exactly what i tell ya to type or you will never find this. .35 dia 160gr lswchp elmer keith desig reload bullets n /gt bullets and the company , since you did not listen is gt bullets . when you searrch for slugs you put in the search diameter, grain, type, and then type reload bullets and then the company name. so for example .356dia 160gr lswchp (that means lead semi-wad cutter hollow point) reload bullets/ gt bullet""s and if you type that google will have that site on the search it is up to you to look for it. since youtube is infringing first amendment rights .
@@THE_LAST_WORD "since you did not listen is gt bullets". Yeah, and where before did you specifically say "gt bullets" ? I was listening, you indicated "graf and sons" for lead supply - not "gt bullets" - and BTFW, a supplier of lead metal does not necessarily mean they also cast bullets. And, after doing the search exactly as you specified, I find that GT doesn't carry these particular ones anymore. The closest thing they have to what you describe is a 130gr slug listed under their 9mm category, they don't even have a .35cal category. So, you need to stop criticizing others without basis.
yeah scary huh, except the rifle can shoot 200 yards alot easier than your powder burner.and for air guns carrying a thousand rds with you is doable. its less than 10 pounds of lead.
yeah it does dont it, and at a range your high point cannot match easily. hmmm i love mine it is the standard version . but i am gouing to buy the bullpup also it has baffles. the standard version needs a emperor suppressor. the bullpup will have a different adapter. but i do not think it is the m18 that adapter is sitting here on my shelf and does not work with the .357 big bore.
Did the bullpup, have the high power washers installed when you did this video? I have a big 9 357 bullpup. I bought it over a year ago, but don't have the washers for it. I've never shot it yet.
well guess that is chrono #'s i can use for my .357 /9mm chall bog bore standard model with side leaver and 10rd mag 600cc cylinder ect, yeah its a big bad mo-fo of a airgun.
I would like to get a side lever like that on my 30 cal, is it possible to get a conversion kit to put on a side lever like what you have on the 35 Cal
It would probably be “easier” to build a 7.62 barrel/probe kit for the Big Bore and have A.E. Swede make .30 magazines for the Big Bore than it would be to modify the small bore Challenger to work with a side lever. If you were to design such a kit, might as well use standard .308 barrel blanks, and open up the ammunition choice to anything that you can fit in an Air Force Texan...
@@akseminole the powerplant in this big bore is like two levels above the regular .357 so its about twice the power level your regular .30cal challenger is. you would blow that .308 barrel off the reciever. i have considered getting extreme big bore airguns of texas to make me a .358cal barrel though, they are like within 40miles of my location.
The regulator works on this gun right? I'm seriously considering getting this gun for coyotes but maybe the terminator. I can't decide. The pro would be my choice in 30 cal but I'm not setup for that caliber. To many choices 😁
@@centralvalleyairgunners2380 I'm aware of that. I want to install a regulator on it. Your website says that the regulator is compatible with all challengers but the challengers are listed as 35 caliber, big bore challengers and the smaller caliber challengers like the 32" 30 caliber. I just wondered if the big bores are just a challenger or they have a larger air tube to handle the larger calibers. I currently have a 35 caliber pitbull that gets about 240 fpe that I use at night with thermal. I'm set up for 25 caliber and 35 caliber but I want at least 100 fpe and as flat and fast of a gun as I can get without spending $2500 on a gun. With the most shots as I can get. The 35 big bore with a regulator and I can crank it way down, get a lot of shots around 1000 fps and my ronin will fit plus I have 1000s of different ammo and an atn 4k pro that I can take farther shots during the day than I need at night.
Something is off. The two mags you shot were for the most part a descending curve. Mr HP numbers you quote are completely opposite. Did he fill up all the way to 4500? I’m guessing this is why?? In my opinion just grab the 457. It’s power peaks at a much lower fill pressure. No need to fill that gun over 32-3300 psi.
I do my best to include all the information I can. Isn’t it interesting how 4500 PSI fill creates a bell curve with the numbers compared to a 4000 psi fill which kind of starts off at a high point.
yeah if you fill to 3600psi you get the high speeds first if you fill to 4100psi you get the high speeds at shot 5. but filling to 4100psi will get you more shots overall. this is the experience with my standard version of this big bore .357 also electroplated slugs from barrys ork at .35w
i agree, i have the standard version of this big bore and it likes 3600-3800psi and the power shots are like right there at shot 1, like shooting a whole different gun than at 4100-4500psi.
sorry sir this airgun and mine put out between 220 and 380fpe a .22lr puts out 95fpe , this airgun will punch a hole through whatever ya hiding behind and still blast a hole in ya bigger than your pinkie finger. there are no nnon-emergency room accidents with this airgun you screw up and you either in the hospital or you done offed yourself, so please be responsible with these airguns.
@@THE_LAST_WORD some 22lr is around 230FPE. When the HP max is around it's 5th shot. It's average FPE is around 250s. Maybe the first 3 shots is around high 300FPE. but in a home defense situation you're looking at 22Lr strength with a bigger calibre.
@@undeadaeon9992 yeah guess .22mag can do that, so i give you that much. but if in a home defense situation thhe home invader is still alive after you fire 5 rds then thats your fault sir. my great dane is gonna grab em and make em scream and my emporor will sit just under that home invaders chin and the rest is up to how long they keep from flinching. anytime you are near dallas (i live 17 miles west of dallas) get in touch and you may shoot my .357 standard big bore challenger, you will understand that what i said holds true. and the bigger caliber thing is like this, a 22 and a 35 with the same weight and velocity will produce the same force, but the 22 will mostly be penetration and the 35 will cause much more massive inertial damage stopping and killing the animal. ive broken the neck of a deer i shot in the head. deer didnt go 10ft. no 22 can do that. ive dome called deer with a 22lr and i still had to finish it with a knife to the neck X3. while a dozen other deer stood there and watched. i choose the damage of this rifle to having to grapple deer antlers again sir.
@@undeadaeon9992 not sure what .22 LR you're looking at... 38gr @ 1280fps ("high-velocity" Long rifle) is only 138fpe. Even CCi Stingers (32gr @ 1640fps) are only running 191FPE (but shed it fast). A 38gr bullet also tends to slow down faster than a 124gr bullet. Muzzle numbers don't tell the whole story.... effect on target does. .380 Auto may not have much more energy than .22LR at the muzzle, but it's vastly superior at any real distance. Same thing with subsonic 9x19mm loadings. My major beef with those in the shooting world... only looking at muzzle numbers and thinking that determines how well something works downrange.
hmmm i got the standard big bore .357 for $659 and a bipod with 360swivel for $73, and an emporor mod for $240,and an extra mag for $30 and i buy my bullets from graf and sons, barrys bullets, gt bullets, and wideners reloading. so thats %$1010.00 plus tax. think i bought a couple hundred in slugs and spent $570.00 on a GX L3 lithium battery op compressor that i love so out the door from scratch i am in like $1800.00 but its like the most powerful 10shot .357 there is more rounds down range and when it hits a deer in the head it breaks the deers neck, so no chasing down the deer. whats that worth to ya
I guess you guys only want to help sales period. Ive asked overv month ago if youll all offer a discount to someone looking for an air gun that has total DISABILITY. Though with zero answer. You could of said 2,% discount or even one ot you just can't do it though youre giving away Airguns to marketers that will be paid to promote youre products and how wonderful you are. Though now youre going to be outed as stingy money hungry people that have zero care about anyone but sales, sales, sales. To all you promote these guys shame on you. Youd think a million dollar company or multi hundred thousand company could give a one percent discount, well no absoulutely not. Let me tell you the person Im advovsting for has had two kidney transplants. Two strokes, 12 total, I mean consistant 12 years on dialisys. Each year taking 5 years off his life. He used to now hunt and bought many rom fire rifles though now air Power would be way easyer for him to use. He has an automatic pump I have him and hes set. Though after all the fake complements to Fox air. It was all paid for with free air PCP rifles to anyone that WOULD sell their soul yo a devil and there is plenty to go around. I GUARENTE this company isnt its all cracked up to be. They will cancel this message as they know its absoulutely true. They will not respond to anything dealing with this matter as they will completly shut this down due to absoulutel facts. They do not respond to anyone in need period and we now Patriots need to cancel another woke company not willing to help people in need due to many saying there so great, well how much did you all get to say this or what guns did you recieve to say this. i might add for free because it sure isnt a discount to anyone eles but people with rep that can continue youre evil empire. Im sick of the evil in any industry and Fox air has proved it. Common the person Im trying to help makes $1,200 a month for all bolle, gas, food, etc. How many of you do that. I can say mone of you unless you have a home, already, some food, never been through any hospital care etc. Even you scared of a needle. Do you realize these dialys PATIENT get two, I said two 12 guage needles a day for over 4, 8, 10, 12 years at a time. Every fliping day or every other day for years with no Days off. Zero vacations or thed die never ending pain. Almost 1one time a month in the hospital for at the minum of two Days. Be very happy for youre lives Fox air. Can't wait till you meet one of these people and or even one having cancer thats the SAME DEATH rwate and equilavant of cancer. It absoulutely hurendus. I can't even sit with him in four hours a day. I need to get up and move or pee or take a crap. These people can't move at all or would extend their time or be kicked out for the NEXT day. Freak shame on Fox air Power supposedly so WONDERFUL! Shame!!!!!!!!!!
