Love your Battle Reports keep them coming!!! A few points and rule follow ups! ~ Reaver Power Fist has +1 Accuracy with in 2" (hits on 3+ for the Reaver) ~ When charging you get an additional die for every 3" moved when preforming the attack at the end of the move (Those Reaver's should have been hitting on 3+ with 4 - 5 attack dice, at strength 9 + 2 for rear Arc!) ~ Plasma Blastguns are Blast Weapons with 3" blasts (every hit roll with them was actually 2 hits!) ~ The Warlords Volcano cannon is strength 12 not 10 (The Reaver's Volcano Cannon is Strength 10!) ~ Carapace Weapons have a minimum range equal to the models scale unless targeting something of the same scale or larger! (The Warlord [Scale 10] cannot fire the Apocalypse Missile Launcher at Warhounds [Scale 6] with in 10") ~ Machine Spirit when rolled make a command check first if passed don't roll on the Machine Spirit table! ~ Catastrophic Damage when rolling on the table add +1 if your reactor is Orange and +3 if its Red. ~ Repairs, in addition to getting shields back on a 5+ you can repair critical damage thus giving you a tad more life back in a damage track.
I posted pics of a Titanicus game using those exact Dropzone Commander buildings on Reddit some months ago! I’m so happy to see someone else using them as well!
Oh, wasn't expecting a bat rep today! Great. Also I saw that vid of you and arch..... Congrats winters it seems like you may be more lore knowledgeable then Arch! It was a great listen enjoyed it.
Thanks for another great report, Winters, even if the scenario was a pretty brutally onesided affair from the beginning. How about some defence bunkers and batteries for the defenders next time? :) - Belicosas are Str 12, not 10. - 1's in Armour rolls are Superficial and do nothing regardless of the Strenght. This is very important. - Plasma Blastgun scatters when missed, you can still hit something if it only scatters 1" or such. On turn 4 this could have caused horrible damage everywhere as the Engines gathered to huddle in the middle. - Remember that when you get Machine Spirit Awakens, you roll a Command test to see if it actually wakes. - First Fire happens in the movement phase before repairing, which happens between movement and combat. - You cannot hit the head from behind, or any other body part that isn't visible when firing. In those cases just keep rolling until a visible location comes up. - Larger Engines cannot fire Carapace weapons at smaller targets within their scale in inches. The Warlord couldn't have shot the Warhounds that ran at it. - Remember the free hits from Warlord's defensor guns, D3 Str 5 hits at any enemies in Front and Rear arcs within 6". - When you hit weapons, you still randomize even if only one is online, because you can get the damaged ones to detonate and do damage to the body of the target. So the Warlord would not have taken autohit to the missiles. - The first Charging Reaver came some way, it should've gotten extra dice to its attack. One for each full 3" travelled. Good krumpin', still, keep up the good work!
Check out the brutal Britain or brutal London books by Zupagrafika for some nicely scaled real world building push-outs. Brutalism is unsurprisingly a nice fit for 30k! Love the adeptus t batreps, btw.
Also rolling awakened machine spirit is not a roll unless you fail a command check pg 44 rule book. Ifreactor is in orange or red after repair phase, then a roll is required, not before...for example, I roll 4 reactor symbols during my shooting phase and put my titan into orange, I wait till next repair phase to vent, if still in orange, after repair phase, I must roll on the reactor overload table pg 43 rule book. Great looking titans, and table, and thanks for another well produced batrep. Ohh almost forgot, Belicose cannon has a strength of 12 not 10, so that little warhound should've been destroyed earlier. And when you do a repair order you get a +1 to your rolls as well. Keep the Batreps coming though.
I'm a new player myself so these rules corrections are very useful. However, I do have a question regarding the venting of plasma. In the rulebook it says that you check to see if the reactor is overheating before making any repair rolls. Where do you see this check is made after the Repair Phase? So, I think Winters played that one correctly by rolling on the reactor overload table before making any repair rolls. As I see it, the only way to prevent this would be to use an Emergency Repair order during the Strategy Phase in order to (hopefully) vent some plasma before the titan is activated in the Repair Phase.
As a kid, the government owned bank of Aussie!Aussie!Aussie! would come to the school and get you to open a bank account. So the bank could brain-wash you into being a customer for life. They used to give away little metal money-boxes that looked like a multi-story building. The metal box was supposed to represent the head office. Hard to get your coins out as there was no way aside from a can open to get into the thing. Unless you were good with a butter knife poked thru the slot. That terrain reminds me so mush of that money-box.
Hey Winters, are you interested at all in putting some Kill Team games on the channel? I've really enjoyed these Titanicus batreps, and I'd like to see how you attack Kill Team.
i noticed a fair bit of burn's rolls were just right on money and cant help but think that maybe winter moved the warhound nearest to the red reaver to bodyblock its firing line and maybe mess up the reaver's path to melee it might have helped the warlord to last longer boy these titan fights are fun to watch
Though to be fair, there are statues IRL that are as big or much bigger than that in terms of scale. The well known statue of liberty is around 46 meters and the largest statue currently is 182 meters in height. Compare those to Warlord titans which are around 30-35 meters in height.
Love the batreps. :) One thing I noticed, I dont think you could have fired the Apoc's from the warlord because the warhounds were too close, carapace weapons have a minimum range equal to the stature of the model.
Mr. AP Burns, the warlord power claw is nasty. I charges my reaver with a fist into one, it then proceeded to kill the reaver and cost me the game lol.
1. Belicosa cannon have str 12 2. Carapace weapon have minimum range depends of titan scale. Warlord cannot shot with it apocalypse rockets within 10 inch unless the target have scale 10. 3. When yoy awekening machine spirit you must first made a command check. If you pass nothing happens 4. You forgot about warlord defense systems that give you d3 str5 hits within 6 inch in front and rear arcs 5. After wild fire your warlord must fall,so you, probably, could hits both reavers and destroy warhaund
