I told my sister I wanted to name a dog Paimon and she told me , isn’t that a demon ? And I looked it up and Paimon is indeed a demon and it’s said to be one of Lucifer’s most loyal demons.

Maybe lumine already ascended to celestia but when she knew the truth, she tried to do something that the heavenly bodies deemed unnecessary, then the heavenly bodies tried to shut her down but couldn't because she was too "powerful"? and instead they sent lumine back to teyvat again.

After watching this fully I can't help but have chills and goosebumps especially with the mentions of Biblical passages, as someone who has read the Scriptures I can fully say Genshin and not only Genshin but other games such as Fate and Honkai do take their inspiration from different sources whether it be from myths or the Bible. But for most of the time (in my observation of past games they would always mention tid bits about the Bible or God in general, and for some weird reason the devil is always viewed in a much lesser critical or sometimes more glorified light. Funny how much it sounds like the Travelers...) due to the literary structure and imagery the book of Revelation holds, and can be interpreted in many ways. This sounds so plausible to the point where looking not only at the twins but the game in general has so many dark secrets. (Wth Mihoyo?!!) Awesome theory! Something that also struck me while doing the inazuma archon quest was how the traveler didn't really want to be involved in the vision hunt decree even though Ayaka asked them (a sign of selfishness). If I remember correctly, they only wanted an audience with the Shogun to find information and move on. They only became involved themselves when they saw the shogun stripping away the aspirations of the people (rebellion, fighting against godly authority)

As for that Lucifer as a liberator part it reminds me of that one game series called Shin Megami where Lucifer was once Yaldabaoth's right hand man until he discovered the existence of the Aeons and the Monad prompting him to initiate the War in Heaven to liberate his Angelic brothers and sisters and all of creation from Yaldabaoth's tyranny which sadly he failed.

What do you think would happen if someone with a vision awakened a dead vision like how kazuha and Ninguwang did and it stayed? Would their original one disappear because their motivations changed? Would they just have 2? And if you could have 2 visions by awakening one could you have more? 3, 4 or all of them

The thing I find really interesting about some Genshin theories, is that given the similarities between the games, I could take some aspects of this theory and add them to my theories about Honkai. I mean, Honkai wears its biblical inspirations as openly as Genshin. The current arc is named pre-revelation, our protagonist is the former strongest servant of the Will of Honkai (who frequently is referred to as a god) who went against her former master but then again Kiana might also have a Jesus allegory going for her, and it starts to become jumbled and this is why I don't really draw a direct connection between any of Mihoyo's story and their mythological inspirations. I mean...Ei and Paimon are a bit underwhelming for Beelzebub and....Paimon.

I love the detail that, within the Ars Goetia, Paimon (Despite being a King) is loyal only to Lucifer and Lucifer alone. And who is the game Paimon always around? Huh? HUH?

Something I thought was interesting is that Mona says "In the reflection of the water, I see the ascension of the morning star." in her "Feelings About Ascension: Conclusion"

So do you guys remember the "loom of fate" abyss order plan in the " we will be reunited" quest to "topple the thrones of celestia" ? appearently that'll be a huge plot point later in the story because in the traveler's story, theres a part named "loom of fate" and every story we have seen so far from the traveler is related to the archon quests. this one will be probably be relevant in the khaenri'ah chapter. so here's the general plan: they are gonna replace the "inverted statue of the seven"s orb with the eye of the first field tiller, then attach osial (overlord of the vortex)'s limbs to it, and appearently they say that "it can topple the thrones of celestia". Paimon also says that: "Is this some kind of... Fate-weaving machine?" In the travail trailer as well, dain says: "Defeat me, command me to step aside, show me that you are worthier than i to rescue her.Then, the threads of all fate will be yours to re-weave." The second line stating the "loom of fate" project. I don't know if this is important in anything theory related, but i thought it'd be good for other people know this.

Its actually surprising there arent more theories like this since most of the fandoms knows many characters and some God's are named after demon. I personally do believe Venti and Paimon are connected with the God of wind and God of time once working together.

Traveller lore is the more interesting lore of Genshin, I want to know where they came from and how their world got destroyed, what power they possessed.

My crazy theory is that the abyss is celestia's power source and when humanity grows it learns of the abyss and draw on its power this then provokes celestia who crush the group anf that perhaps the visions are gifts to appease those who may otherwise turn to the abyss

This theory is so cool. I also think they're getting most of Mihoyo's ideas are from Ars Goetia, but I also think some of them are from TV shows like His Dark Materials. Let's say Dust for example from His Dark Materials. In Genshin I think Dust are the Visions that the Allogenes get. They're ambitions comes alive, turns into a visions and becomes apart of them. Dust in His Dark Materials once condensed created Angels. The first angel was Authority. "Dust was an elementary particle which was conscious, and which conferred consciousness upon certain species, such as humans and mulefa." What if visions are not granted by the archons, but has a consciousness of it's own? In, His Dark Materials there was a knife that could cut through the fabric of the multiverse creating windows where Dust leaked to other universes. The flow of Dust worsened when a bomb created a massive window into the Abyss. The Angels closed the windows between worlds to stem the flow of Dust. Aurora was a phenomenon caused by storms of charged particles and solar rays interacting with the atmosphere. The charged particles in the Aurora make the matter in one world thin, allowing one to see through it, to other worlds. I'm guessing the Abyss had something to do with Celestia, attacking Khaenri'ah in Teyvat. If Celestia attacked Khaen'riah who guarded Celestia? No one. The Abyss can travel via portals what if they took something from Celestia that very day? The destruction of Khaenri'ah worsened something, and the Unknown God stopped the Twins because they can't travel away and needed their help to fix things. Scaramouche, said the Sky was a lie. What if it is? Celestia, might not be part of Teyvat but we can see it through the sky. It might be part of an entirely different world. I bet Mihoyo is going to create the biggest game connecting everyone from Honkai, Genshin, Star Rail. Different Worlds. Different Branches of the World Tree.

So this is the theory i never knew i needed

When you start reading: ´´How have you fallen from heaven, morning star´´ ♡ my gosh that part was outstanding.

You said it so I'll it. At some point, me and a friend of mine, Krisa, discussed that the game is going down a spiral in terms of storytelling. Not to mean that it's going bad, instead following a progression like the Divine Comedy. So what if Genshin's story is actually following the 9 Circles' progression? With each element/region as a circle of Inferno? But then there are only 7 elements right so we'll be 2 circles short. But what if the 8th Circle is the 8th element many crafters have theorized towards AKA the Twins' actual element before they "fell from Grace"? And the 9th is actually Celestia? Honestly, would the story end at Khaenri'ah when Celestia is still another whole new realm itself? As a writer myself, stopping there seems an incomplete thing. There should be a 9th region to explore where everything comes full circle.

Going off of this, the Primordial One could be seen as God. Its 4 shining shades the PO made could also be symbolic of how God spent 7 day create Earth, each day bring new life on the land. The 4 shining shades and the Primoridial One can be represented by the different artifact category (ie, plume of death, etc). The goblet of eon = Eonothem is a rock formation so the land, water bodies etc. The icon for it may represent the unknown god as one of its shades. The sands of eonothem = is time or the god of time, Istaroth. The circlet of logos = looks like a crown therefore befitting of the owner/creator Teyvat, the PO And the plume of death and flower of life are the other 2 UNKOWN shades. There's a strict contrast between each shades and death and life are balancing eachother out. And how time is eroding and changing the land. This can also be seen on how Zhongli calls his and other gods forgetfulness (etc), 'corrison' instead of something else. Time corrides at the land, death and life. The PO and his 4 shining shades made 3 realms, the light realm, human realm (Teyvat) and the abyssal void realm. The abyssal void realm represents Hell then it feeds into Lucifer (the Traveller) and the other gods. This was called the Old World before the PO and its shining shades create humanity, then it was called the 'New World' free from the Vishap rule. Then ties in with the theory of the Abyss orders of plans of engulfing the throne aka changing the order, destroying it. In addition, The Jester in the recently dropped trailer tells how Signoras final resting place will be the entirety of the New World. This suggest on how the Fatui are going to do the same as the Primordial One with gnosis's a D free Teyvat from 'threats' = the Heavenly Principles. There's some plot holes, but it ties in nicely with a lots of running theory that co-exist with each other along with my own thoughts.

Personally i think that the travelers are based of Hesperus and Vesper of the Greek myth, they're both from the Mesopotamian origin similar to baal, morax and barbatos. they're both a reinterpretation of isaiah 14:12 where he write "how have you fallen from the sky helel ben shahar" the god shahar and his brother shalim were later adapt by the greek in Hesperus and Vesper and then by the Romans in Lucifer a single entity. the quote was later RI-formulated in "how have you fallen from the sky Lucifer" by the Romans empire.

I actually had the thought of Aether and Lumine being fallen angels, but I thought lucifer was a different entity, but couldn't figure out who. This makes more sense that they are two entities as one. As for forbidden knowledge, I thought a while back maybe abyssal power is honkai energy, and maybe Celestia is trying to protect the world from corruption (rather haphazardly).

I love the references in Genshin! The passages do make a lot of sense in terms of the lore. I do wonder, with the thought of Sumeru in mind, do you think the Land of Knowledge would also connect to biblical sources, such as the concept of Forbidden knowledge.

I’m really interested what importance Lucifer might have in Genshin, if he does have a relation. I wonder how it’ll play out. Also, maybe Teyvat has some relation to the traveler’s homeworld

I really think that mihoyo really did put a heavy reference on demonology, I like to believe that the abyss traveler is lucifer, lucifer being the lord of the underworld = abyss, and we're playing as michael demiurgos(lucifer's twin), it is said that "michael led the angels during the war in heaven", and paimon, mhm this is that part that really messes up this theory, so paimon(paimonia, paymon), one of the kings of hell, very obedient to lucifer,. so that does mean that paimon is some kind of secret agent floating thing that our twin sent to guide us?

the first thing this reminded me of is that paimon in ars goetia is described as being very loyal to lucifer!!

I read this theory once in a youtube comment (and reddit I think) months ago and I had the feeling that they hit the nail on the head. It's nice to see a video with more fleshed-out ideas that expand this theory.

Now we do have some kind of direct in-game reference ro khaenri’ah being inspired by hell. If you go to the cave near tunigi hollow SotS in the desert, you’ll get an achievement „Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here." It’s a reference to Dante Alighieri’s „Divine Comedy”

So, I went into google do some research, the name Lumine doesn't exactly come from the word luminosity, it's actually an obsolete verb that means to iluminate, it has it's origins on the Latin verb lūmine. Thought this was an interesting fun fact.

In the Traveller's story, it mentions an entity called "The Creator". And of course the first being that came to mind is GOD, and seeing how both the travellers have the classic depiction of heaven's color scheme of White and Gold, I actually already have a feeling that they might be angels. But I somehow never connected them with the fallen angel himself.

Okay if this is the case. This makes it feel like the final boss will be all of Celestia. Because the Archons are technically the demons that are on Lucifer's side, even though they're classified as gods. But Celestia seems like a higher power even above the Archons themselves, so they're probably behind everything horrible that the abyss sibling saw

People view Genshin as some dumb gacha for weebs, but it's SO much more than that tbh. I absolutely love its lore. Phrases like "the stars are a lie" have literally stuck in my head constantly since I heard them and I was absolutely mind blown when I realized the Archons were named based on the Ars Goetia.

Not sure if this is just a coincidence or if I'm reaching and looking too much into it, but both Aether and Lumine's english localized names can be seen as having portions of the name "Lucifer" "Lu"mine and Aeth"er" If it *is* intentional, I wonder if Lumine being in the beginning of the name while Aether has the ending portion is symbolic in any way

Lucifer is not in Jewish mythology. We have a concept of "the Satan," who is an angel that serves as a sort of prosecutor that tries to convince G-d that humans are bad, but he's very distinct from the Christian Lucifer. We don't even have the concepts of fallen angels, or a Hell for him to rule/be condemned to. In fact, the very name "Lucifer" comes from that very "you have been cast down to earth, you who once laid low the nations" passage from the Hebrew Bible that was taken out of context, as the "light-bringing morning star who fell from heaven" was referring to a Babylonian king who the prophet Isaiah was condemning. "Morning star" was a common title used by kings in the region, referring to the planet Venus, which appeared to the ancients as the last star visible in the morning and thus the bringer of the dawn.
