what a terrible skydive. that poor student didn't stand a chance. why didnt either instructor check the spot? why wasn't the student made to check her altitude and body position before any practice touches were made. how do you funnel an AFF exit from a skyvan? that was a pretty interesting flare call on the radio transmission and why not film the student landing.
Why is everyone hating on the bare feet so much? In florida we jump barefoot all the time into the beach and such. It's his feet and if he wants to risk hurting them it's on him isn't it? Just sayin
CHAD!! This was my instructor as well at Skydive Sussex! Was a while ago but he is the man. Crazy to find you on RU-vid of all places after all these years!
Nothing about that jump was passable. If I were her or in the same position at the time, I would have gone to a different place or asked for better instructors, and reevaluated whether or not skydiving is for me.
Good thing that field wasn't full of sand spurs. I'm curious how y'all managed to end up so far away from your designated LZ, and also how she passed that level 2. You had to physically place her hand on her pull bag several times to remind her to practice. Also I saw very little altitude awareness checks, and it looked like she pulled her chute unexpectedly and without waving off
Just saw this video. We all make mistakes. But that is unbelievable. USPA should get involved. That poor student 😭 hopefully she had the awareness to speak up.
