Getting rid of Fevola was a stupid decision. Carlton were aware of his issues and did little to support him; instead they just kicked him to the curb and it may very well have cost them a shot at the flag in 2010 and/or 2011.
@@wades9327 I am completely confused. Do you mean Ponzi scheme, like the investment fraud? I don't get the joke linking it to Fevola, is that something he said?
At the time, Fev was his own worst enemy, gambling, drugs? drinking?... But.... he was a great athlete and a fabulous kick for goal! I put Fev, up there with Lockett, Dunstall for kicking accuracy. He had a great kicking technique and it was normal for him to kick at 70%+ from set shots. No one does that today. I think post his AFL career he has redeemed himself, a few great years in country footy, and now on radio, and a good family man, but to many, he will never be forgiven, for wasting his incredible talent.
agree. Fev has a powerful kick. He came for the longest kick last year, he still got it ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jbydgl7Mg0c.html
Had the pleasure of meeting Chris Yarran on a job site recently. Such a nice bloke! He was so open and spoke about how he went down the wrong road with a few of his decisions in life!
