Connor Cooney I agree! I basically kept my pencil in contact with the bubble sheet at all times with my right hand and handled the booklet with my left. Not being prepared to be quick with bubbling could cost anyone a chunk of points.

Yes, I did. If for passing English portion, a candidate should earn 15 points, I got 16 ones :)))) Just "crawled". But anyway my technique works ;)

I did have to take the exam twice and fortunately all my subtests went up along with the word knowledge, so it all worked out in the end! If not, I highly recommend taking that 6 months to focus on what you need to focus on, and crush it the second time around! Good luck!

Good luck! Having multiple resources is always the best bet. If you do take it a second time, not only will you know what you need to focus on, but you should feel more confident which makes a huge difference. The weeks leading up to the exam I was doing timed practice tests several times a week to get used to time constraints and practice to maintaining a calm mindset. The first couple sub-tests go by SO quick, you barely have time to think, but do you'll do great! Good luck!

Morgan Hall if you’re not attempting to become a pilot or get a rated slot, then you won’t be needing to worry about the TBAS. However, there are minimum scores which need to be made still in the AFOQT regardless of you AFSC preferences. Those minimums can easily be found online or your local recruiter can tell you. David Austin they all went up around 15-20 points after taking it the second time. The second time I felt a lot more calm and confident

I am applying for pilot and ABM. All sections are important in my opinion, but the directly related ones I got P 89/N 87/ABM 92/CSO 87 and PCSM 64

James Jacobs there are multiple practice tests in the books I mention. I practiced all those several times. I also took ASVAB practice tests and officer practice tests for other branches. The questions are similar, maybe worded a bit differently and different style of questions, I wouldn’t rely much on them for a “go to” source, but I used it as a way to get more practice in general and I’d always do them timed for practice as well. I found it to be mostly useful when practicing for the math sections, not so much the reading or word knowledge because it’s pretty spot on on the AFOQT the way the practice tests are in these books.

@@allisongrozdanich36 Thank you. I'm a SSgt in the AF and when I took my ASVAB originally, I made an 87. I'm 32 and my eyes are bad so I'm not trying to go rated. I'm going to take your advice on the books for sure thanks again and good luck!

Imagine taking the exams for your first time and having a score of 26 😔 embarrassing, if not of your recommendations seriously I would have not pass, really thank you so much 🤝 I really wish some people would have this same chance as I do ,Mr David is a special tutor with a special heart.

prizzle125 yes, I am. I applied for both rated and non rated

prizzle125 it affected my studying because I had to study EVERYTHING. If I had no intention of applying for rated I wouldn’t have bothered to look over that material. But since I knew I wanted to apply for both I needed to study for more info and for longer time each day.

Have you heard of candidates being excepted with poor pilot and navigation scores for non rated positions?
