My man, watched your AFOQT and this video and gotta say they're the most useful resources I've found on both exams. I appreciate all the insight, good luck being a pilot!
@@classgheros5465 Brother, thought I'd follow up on this comment. Used your resources for the exams and recently picked up UPT slot to fly C-130-J's with ANG! Thanks again for this resource!
It’s already been said multiple times I see but just wanted to reiterate that your videos on these tests have proved to be beneficial 👌🏼 I saw this one before I took my AFOQT and like you said focused on that first which was huge. And this one helped highlight how much flight hours could help so I’ll definitely look into it man thank you!
TBAS 2 times, I just took it for the first time, it was a doozy😂 I have 26 flight hours atm, trying to get at least 41 and PPL by January for rated board
I will say this coming from a Nav's perspective trying to go Pilot, the "Air Force" doesn't care about getting a PPL to be selected for a pilot slot...HOWEVER, your WG/CC or OG/CC definitely will, and some will require you to have at least in the 90s for a PCSM before they even let you apply (as has been my case). It's definitely not right, but it is what it is.
Hey man! This video was great information. I seriously appreciate you putting this out. I am going the civilian to OTS route. I have been preparing and will take the AFOQT soon. Which is my focus for sure. But I am kind of confused on how a regular person can get flight hours to increase their score? How does that even work?
So the best way to get flight hours is to look up flight schools at any local airport and get in contact with a flight instructor to start your flight training. Most all airports have small flight schools at them so it shouldn’t be too hard to find one. Good luck on your AFOQT and starting your aviation journey!
Hey man good stuff on this and the AFOQT video. I'm starting my studying for my AFOQT for later this year. How did you originally find a recruiter to sign you up for your tests and are you going to a board soon?
I got in contact with a recruiter through the Air Force website. And no there are no active duty selection boards for the rest of 2021 and I suspect that the next one won’t be till later in 2022
Was the monitor fairly small and square when you took the TBAS? I am testing on a fairly large widescreen and find it hard to locate the rudder controlled plane in my peripheral.
It honestly all depends on how you do on the test but with that amount of time and a 94 pilot score I would except you to be in at least the 80’s for your PCSM
