I believe she’s South African. They have that clicking sound in one of their dialects. Forgive me if I’m saying it wrong. She is absolutely beautiful and representing Africa. Well!🖤
It's like hearing a sunset, a sunrise, happy people dancing, deep joy, deep pain, deep love and pride in your identity, all at once! It's like the energy of the African continent in a sound ❤️ BRAVO
Qongqothwane (Westerners know it as The Click Song) is a traditional Xhosa song of South Africa. It's sung at weddings to bring good fortune. Qongqothwane literally means "knock-knock beetle", which is a popular name for various species of darkling beetles that make a distinctive knocking sound by tapping their abdomens on the ground. They're believed to bring good luck and rain. They can revolve the top part of their body in any direction. The beetle is used in children's games to point the way home, but also has a deeper symbolism, pointing the way to a better future in times of trouble. The lyrics: The diviner/doctor of the roadways is the knock-knock beetle Already it climbs up and passes by here They say it is the knock-knock beetle Oh! It is the beetle
I am not in the room but her presence on my screen is so regal that I felt butterflies and started tearing up. Absolutely beautiful voice and person. Queen is accurate. Congratulations 👑
Guess you don't get around much. Even though RU-vid is full of artists that have their own specialties that this woman doesn't know how to do until like the others... practice!
The African Queen definitely suits her. No matter what race you are or where in the world you're from when this beautiful voice calls everyone answer's. Xx
One thing about africans we are not scared to speak our languages😂 we can be in any country even if we know how to speak that language we will still speak our own always
@@skyelark5511 some ppl just don't know what to say. It's just so much jealousy in the world these days my goodness! And some of them don't care about hurting others feelings. SMH!!
@@lello.4925 thank you. I guessed as the most common. I'm coming to South Africa in a little more than 2 weeks for about 40 days. So excited to see my friends again.
My husband is an igbo man n he sings me these lullabye type songs in his language when we going to sleep sometimes n it sounds beautiful n sweet😂 I love him so much
Sweet husbands are scarce.. my hubby is the sweetest, the man literally does everything for me.😢😢I cry sometimes alone thinking how blessed I am. We are not rich and don’t have everything but am contented ❤by the way, he was my first and still is.
Oh my GOD!!! Her voice is definitely a gift from the Almighty!! I have never heard a voice so rich, beautiful and forceful!! And I love opera, so I know exceptionally beautiful voices!!! Her’s on on a different plane!!!!
I said this many times before, and I will repeat it still many times: African people have an unbelievable singing talent, and it is something I can only dream of. If you start listening to these beautiful voices, you don't want anyone to stop singing.❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@albertlwj You sound like a very bitter person to me and you clearly don't like people that develop their God given talents to new heights. Learn to love people that develop their talents and be happy with them when people appreciate their developed talents. 🙏🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇😇
It definitely touched my soul in a way I’ve never quite felt before. I have no words to really describe how this made me feel. I got chills on the inside up and down my body. Very powerful and spiritual.💖🙏🏽
She was blessed with the ability to sing this song pure and she does the tongue clicks with absolute perfection . This is an African hymn from a very strong and traditional tribe ❤
Shes Xhosa and known as Siki Jo-An.....the song goes like this "Lamaqab'imbola ath'aqeqeshwe e'zingqondweni.....Namaaaaaaaadoda ayayoyika "x2....then goes on to say "Igqirha lendlela nguqongqothwane "..... it's mostly sung in Wedding for a good fortune
And yall should embrace African Americans in the diaspora who were taken without will and willingly sold and we're denied our roots in America and some African countries.
She called on our ancestors so hard. I don’t care where you was at and what country that was something I needed to hear that was beautiful. That was wonderful. That was amazing soulful music.
I am a South African and i am from the Xhosa tribe, and this woman is a Xhosa speaking and what she is singing, is a Xhosa hym that can not be practiced to be done this pour but you are born with it, its a mother tongue, it can not be done better than this... that type of tongue click, its out of this world 🇿🇦
I literally feel like she just called me to come home and be embraced in some weird way as soon as she started. The diaspora and our shared connection is so real. Wow
I started tearing up immediately... I heard my ancestors, I heard them. #beautiful #thevoice The judges got a concert. They should be paying her to teach them!
😭 this sound was so beautiful 😍 Gave me goosebumps at first and made me tear up a few seconds later. I’m a coloured from South Africa, didn’t understand a word however my spirit connected. This was beautiful to watch. I bless God for His creativity 🙌🏽
@@tigerslick1111 They don't know. That person's clearly a black Westerner born and raised in the west and just wants something to attach themselves to cause they feel out of place in a white society.
African Queen called all of our Ancestors ..and us with that voice and rendition at the opening of the song... The rest was pure magic. Ase wa Olodumare🙏🏽😌
Why am I up with tears in my eyes?! Lord her voice reached into my body, and took my soul out, rocked it like a new born baby, gently put it back and gave me a kiss on the forehead!!!!!!!! And all I can say now is....... amen!! Amen!!!! A to the MEN!!!!!!! Thank you Heavenly Father for the amazing gift we call HER VOICE!!!!!!!
