The only reason I bought an ecoboost was because of TFL running the Ike. Fleet decisions were also influenced by TFL reviews at my company. They still are by the way.

Eh really? They are always up front when they get a press car and the fact they also buy cars for long term and project vids I think they have some cred. lol. Still I wish they gave cost breakdown vids when they do project cars. I know they weasle free parts and labour on allot of stuff form manufactures for sponsorship but it would be nice to know what it would cost US to do something similar. I do know one thing though. If I was a manufacturer and gave them free parts I sure as hell would make them plaster my logo all over their project.

@B ! Yeah I know. I was explaining to you why it gives them street cred, but doesn't have anything to do with not liking Ford. This happens on the gun side of RU-vid all the time. Companies get upset at reviewers for being honest about their product and uninvite them from marketing events. But just because the particular gun (or truck) in question has some issues, that doesn't necessarily reflect the companies' other products.
I DEFINITELY CHOSE MY F-350 BASED ON TFL VIDEOS!! Last year I bought a 40’fifth wheel and debated what truck I needed to tow 16,000# of truck. I almost bought the Ram. But watching the Ike Gauntlet videos helped me decide that I needed the 350 DRW. I bought the Lariat package. I will say that the comments about the interior trim are spot on. Functional but not great quality. Ford can do better and based on what Ram has done they need to just to keep up. I love my 350 overall. Really disappointed to hear Ford has stopped allowing TFL to participate in their media events. Dumb!!
I am curious about your perspective regarding the Ford interior trim verses the Dodge interior trim. Please elaborate in general.....but also, specifically regarding 'quality'. The word quality has a reliability and durability connotation. I would appreciate your input. Thanks!
I bought a used 2017 DRW, I absolutely love it (about 4,000 miles on it so far). I only tow about 8,000 lbs and of course the truck doesnt even break a sweat. 11 mpg towing, 14 empty, all stock.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what engine did you chose? I'm looking for a 3/4-1 ton to pull a 35ish ft 5th wheel and boat. Haven't decided on gas or diesel yet, and of course which engine in either class.
@@15Jeep Mike sorry I didn't see this earlier. Three things, first I have previously had King Ranch and most recently Limited Trims in F-150s. The Lariat Ultimate Package is adequate in terms of bells and whistles but there is a lot more plastic/synthetic material in this trim level than in previous versions I owned - that is not Ford's fault, Secondly I have had two recalls in first six months and one FSA so I am likely a bit jaded about Ford quality overall more than the interior. Third there were a few little things like the windshield interior gasket at the base of the windshield that was not seated right on either passenger or driver sides - sticks out a few inches. A couple of long threads on the floor mats.AC Louvres that are hard to adjust properly so that it hits my face. Small stuff. In fairness to ford the interior quality is "good". I bought down and had to deal with some recalls and it colored my opinion.
Dear TFL, I have been watching you guys from the earliest days of testing on the “Ike Gauntlet” and have always enjoyed your “real world” reviews and opinions. I was thrilled when you starting being invited to the previews and reveals as it gave me access to those products through the opinions of people that I trusted. It has been fun watching Tommy grow into his role and I enjoy his perspective. Andre is still my favorite and I appreciate his attention to detail. I now watch your reviews on everything from motorcycles and campers, to trucks and atv’s. My immediate plan was to purchase a Ford F-250 with a Lariat or Platinum trim (inventory issues due to COVID slowed me down) however, literally due to Ford’s recent actions toward TFL, I will be purchasing a Ram 2500 Limited and adding Carli suspension components. Keep up the good fight fellas, we all appreciate your hard work and great reviews out here on the Western Slope!
Awesome change of mind. Cummins rocks anyway and Ford deserves to loose customers for their decision. My best friend absolutely loves his 2017 Ram 2500 4x4.
My coworker loved his Ram 2500 with the Cummins until the interior started rattling, creaking and popping. He has taken it back to the dealer three times, that I know of, to address the interior noises to no avail. His truck is barely a year old and he's already considering trading up to an F250. He absolutely loves the Cummins and interior design but is so disappointed with Ram's service after sale and interior quality issues. I rented a Ram 1500 a few months ago and the interior was just beautiful but after just a few miles down the road that beautiful interior started creaking, squeaking and popping. It was so frustrating! Just wanted to pass this along. Good luck with whatever you decide to purchase. Hopefully these two incidents were isolated.
I did consider your videos when I bought my F-150. Other channels show quirks and features but you’re the only one showing them being put to work and reporting how they handle it.
The reason I bought a Ford was because of the results of your testing. I was going to buy a F250, but you said in your video the F350 was a better deal for what you get for the money. So, I now own a 2019, F350. If Ford thinks they won’t lose business for this move, they’re wrong.
Hey now daddy Doug is the number one channel for a reason. His videos are hilarious and that kinda stuff is only pertinent for a small percentage of people. He has done offroady vids but they don't do nearly as well.
The reason I bought my 2017 Ford SuperDuty was because I watched TFL videos of the new designed truck. The video of the first offroad event sealed the deal for me. Ford should be paying you for the attention you brought to their vehicles, not banning you from events.
When I was in the market for a HD truck 2 years ago, YOUR review of them was the deciding factor to go with a Ford Superduty.....if this is how they decide to treat reviewers that report on information that is freely available on the internet my next purchase will definitely be with a company that values the free market, freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Not to mention a you give them a TON of free press and marketing. Hey FORD PR team...maybe the supervisor that made this decision should be voted off the island, it's the digital age, information spreads very very quickly, sometimes you have to embrace it and roll with it instead of being hostile towards individuals that are passionate about your product and give you a TON of free PR.

@R J Yeah but Fords owned the towing competition for awhile. Most people buy trucks and never tow a thing with them. And the Fords really aren't the nicest trucks right now. In terms of looks interior and exterior along with underperforming tech inside.
I owned a 73 bronco, 302 automatic, it was one of the most fun rides I ever had. I’ve been driving a wrangler the last ten years. I was looking forward to the new bronco, but come on Ford! Quit treating TFL like that. Mark me done with the blue oval!

I have to say this channel was a big reason why I bought my Ram Rebel. I loved watching the show using the Rebel long term. Love seeing the different vehicles and setups, that I personally would not get to see otherwise. It helped me make a great decision.
TFL I actually bought my 2019 Ford F150 2.7L Ecoboost because of you guys. I enjoy seeing how your not biased to one specific vehicle and how you tell us the good and the bad of the vehicle. Ford should be happy you guys do reviews on many of their vehicles especially their main sellers which is the F-Series. You gave me an honest review which allowed me to make my choice simple in buying a Ford. A whole year has passed and I do not regret my buy because of the information you guys provided.

Just bought my 2020 Ford Ranger Lariat FX4 package on June 15th, after viewing multiple TFL:s Ranger vs. Tacoma RU-vid videos. I was leaning towards the Tacoma but bought the Ranger instead due to lots of positive reviews and comments from these TFL videos. Great job guys!

Hey, Ford, I never would have bought an EcoBoost motor if it wasn’t for the testing by TFL. If you are going to drop them are you standing behind this twin turbo charged direct injected motor under my hood or are you leaving me out in the cold like TFL and my three daughters with a Fiesta and two Focus dual clutch transmissions? The 6 speed ford transmissions were the worst. My dad’s transmission went completely out of his 2017 explorer with less than 100K as a company car and all he did was highway driving. It was always serviced regularly and he didn’t beat on it. Do yourself a solid and trade up for some Toyota’s

Both companies are great TFL and Ford. Just bc the market team doesn’t support tfl doesn’t mean you should drop the king of automobiles. I got a 99 F250 with 630k miles great trucks.

I definitely was influenced by TFL, I watched every video on the 2019 F150 and later on the Ranger which I went on to buy both. The best non-bias reviews on the net. I use your fueling method everytime I fuel up for what ever rental or personal vehicle i am driving at the time.. Ford should reconsider because you get their product out there for all the consumers out there that want the truth and no outside influence for what the consumer is looking for in any particular model or make of truck or vehicle.. Not to mention what Mr. Truck does as well. Keep up the reviews.
Looking at upgrading to a heavy duty. Always been a GM guy but you guys swayed me to put @Ford at the top of the list. Now with the crap they just pulled, I will never consider them. I know this is just one person and Ford won’t care but I hope more people follow. You guys help us all the time and make great content. Please keep it up

Here's what I don't like about my 2020 Tremor... The fit and finish, from a distance the truck looks amazing but when you get close there are multiple flaws. Here is most of them that I could find 1. Weird gaps on front bumper trim 2. Some sort of rubber gasket hanging from drivers side door handles 3. Rubber trim around inside of windshield not installed properly 4. There appears to be a blue film on the silver center console trim going into the dash (other SD owners have it too) 5. Front passenger fender flare has a large gap from actual fender When Im paying $80k+ for a pickup truck the quality should be much better. You can't say "iTs A nEw TrUcK, tHeY aRe StIlL lEaRnInG hOw To BuIlD iT." Because the only new part here is the front bumper trim.
They're all like that though! My 15 f150 was like that, my 19 1500 longhorn was like that and my current gmc sierra is like that. Wanna know what they all have in common?? They were built in America!
@@JohnDoe-nz6bk Think Dodge trucks are built in Mexico. Check the 17 digit VIN. The first digit denotes the country where the vehicle was assembled. 1 = United States; 2 = Canada; 3 = Mexico; J = Japan; etc.
I bought a left over 2020 F250 FX4 long bed super cab for $40k in Jan 2021. Almost a year later and I'm very happy. Definitely my favorite truck (owned early 2000's F250's (both gas and diesel), 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins (2x4 and 4x4), and this is by far the best in suspension, stability, towing comfort and braking.
Last year I traded in my 2016 RAM 1500 for a new one. I watched your videos to get a good idea of the competition and decided to stay brand loyal. I watch your videos regularly to learn more. I especially like your tests of diesel trucks. I want my next one to be a diesel, and based on your tests I might go for a GM next time. It will be two more years, but it is a big investment. You guys do better tests and reviews than anyone else. And I really liked your real-world rest of the Tesla Model X. I learned a lot from that. Thanks, guys for keeping it real!
You guys have been a godsend especially when it comes to Truck buyers. I was a brand specific snob(not telling you which one I prefer not looking to get in a comment fight lol) until I started watching your videos and you guys clearly showed that all brands have something to offer, and the differences are minimal at best. I eventually bought a Silverado 1500 bc of your videos and I'm really happy with my purchase. It's also helps when you're purchasing a vehicle, easier to haggle when your looking at multiple brands, brand snobs are suckers bc the sellers KNOW you don't want any other choices. I hope your issues you're having with Ford right now are only because of the virus and not a long-term situation. I think Ford owes channels like yours a bit of gratitude, because your channel is going to grab the attention of younger generations. Thank you.

I like your content and this channel seems to be the most objective out off all channels on this platform. The real world testing is what really enjoy watching, whether you do an Ike gauntlet test or go on some off-road trails. You guys definitely put the rigs through it's paces. If I was ever in the market for a HD truck, either Ford or Ram is what I'd be looking to purchase. Keep up producing great videos 👍
I must say, TFL is the only automotive journal I watch and absolutely appreciate the information from you in my car buying. I don't appreciate them pulling a channel(s) of your size at all but to be honest don't even look at ford anyway but that's just me.
I bought my 2017 fully loaded Power Wagon sight unseen without even a test drive. I placed my order and picked up the truck based larger on your reviews. For 2020/2021 I am again watching your reviews to add to my fleet. The new Ford heavy duty with the 7.3L gasser is tops on my list. Let this be known to Ford and all the other manufacturers channels like this are the motor week, auto line detroit, consumers digest, and enthusiasts magazines of today! I won’t buy another truck without TFL!
Hey Andre.......like your detail in reviews! Thanks for pointing out the poor design of the loop hole for attaching safety chain hooks in the Class 5 Hitch. Not too much of problem for me since I almost exclusively tow gooseneck trailers with the B & W hitch. However, it is and has been a problem with the bumper pull hitches.
FYI - you can get 5/16” and 3/8” trailer hooks to latch closed if you install them from the bottom and then rock them all the way back (or forward toward the front of the truck)

I've enjoyed your videos since Andre was the mad Russian who didn't speak any on camera english. The progression to the plethora of current TFLT offerings has been a fun, pleasant, and impressive improvement in video production quality! TFLT stands alone as cars guys that I personally as a viewer would be proud to call friends. I bought a 2017 F-150 brand new, but have been dismayed as of late with what Ford has been doing. What they've done to TFL Truck now is most egregious as they are the most innovative source in truck information videos!
Hi T F L I watched your videos over and over I fully intended to purchase a Ford truck but your videos convinced me to purchase a f150 with a 3.5 EcoBoost so I did got a 16 lariat with the fx4 package with 502a package and a couple of extras and I love it. My reason for telling you this is to let you and Ford know I wouldn't have spent nearly as much money if it weren't for your reviews. Thanks for all you do!

They are an excellent source of information that explains the pros and cons of each make and model. Thank you. It was the Power Wagon/AT4/Tremor video that really help me with my purchase choice.

James Nixon not too sure, but people usually don’t buy this truck if gas mileage is a determining factor in my experience. Unless you’re doing some heavy duty towing on a weekly basis- the gas 6.2 is more than enough.
So I think everything has already been said in the comments already (mostly). Ford...from a Ford owner (many times over), TFL is not just here as entertainment, although it is entertaining of course...but provide us all with very important feedback, in such detail we could not possibly discover ourselves without hours of research and time spent at the dealerships. They provide an invaluable service to truck consumers. Now, as a Ford guy, I am of course familiar and knowledgeable about the vehicles as I drive them almost daily and for years now (bought my 1st 1987 F-350 used in 1994, owned for one year and have bought all brand new from then on to present...for full disclosure couple Dodge/Cummins trucks in there as well). As new models and features are offered, TFL is where I go to learn about them as the reviews are honest, straight forward and thoroughly tested, that saves time and help making informed decisions when purchasing a new vehicle and whether or not I need that particular model or option. This is a bit upsetting to me as I look forward to my TFL reviews and tests...are you going to continue punishing them so I can't enjoy Andre going up the mountain as well? No, I'm not running out to purchase another brand, I love my Ford's but this needs to be worked out. So Ford AND Roman, please sit down like big boys and work this out (quickly), or we will all be stuck listening to JD's reviews 😜
One of the reasons I bought my new '19 Ford Ranger Lariat FX4 last Nov was because of your testing,period! What you find in all of your tests,carries a LOT of weight when it comes to culling out what one does not want in a truck,as much as what one finds that he or she wants in a truck. No games,just good honest results. All for us,along with a made Russian,and a totally demented and sick unit of the Nathan ;}> "spoon with Roman" ???? I'm still LMMFAO !!! thanks...
I’m all the way from Saudi Arabia and you guys helped me with your honest reviews to make my decision to buy my Ford F350. It’s because of guys other wise I won’t be convinced to buy it. I hope Ford realize what help you are doing for the consumer and re-invite you back to the upcoming events.
One thing to consider is the people that won't purchase a vehicle like the Defender or Wrangler or 4runner while they are waiting for the Bronco to come out. You showed some some awesome features in your sneak peak that may have people putting off their next car until the Bronco arrives.

@@15Jeep Cummins engine platform has been developed and tested with time. Ford hasn't built a good diesel since 7.3 (international). Appears like RAM has less issues with the fuel system. RAM's turbos serve longer. RAM's interior design, quality, attention to details and execution is unmatched. This is from experience, as I have owned Ford's 7.3, 6.0 and now Cummins, I wouldn't go back, at least not now.
@@VITALexplorer RAM is behind with thier 6.4L V8 it at lest should be 6.6L(400 cu.in.) for a Heavy-Duty pickup truck, Ford and GM have FCA beat in the naturally gas V8 department.
I disagree. My brand new ram 2500 tradesman window switch bracket will slide around in the door panel, and the clockspring has failed causing a ratcheting sound In the steering wheel. Wish I stayed with ford. Will go back likely.
Thank you for all the years I’ve been watching this channel I send my customers to this channel when they have questions about their vehicle I tell them to watch a certain video that you have posted regarding this so absolutely I suggest vehicles to my customers based upon your findings I am a camper salesman and South Dakota now should we be upset at Ford for blocking you I don’t know it is your job to be a reporter so reporters report things Ford Must understand this it’s not your fault to report news now if you have an agreement that you won’t post something that should be discussed also if there’s something really important that should be looked at before releasing I’m not sure you should always post everything you know even though I want to see it
Good reviews guys. I’ve got a 7.3 XLT on order now, so your comments are very timely. In reference to your dislikes - some are legitimate and others questionable. I agree with the hitch, LED Standard lights, satellite antenna placement, and cheapening of the XLT trim. Questionable is the exhaust Decibels, tires, and fuel economy after mods. Keep up the great reviews.
Your reviews ultimately led to my decision to buy the F-150 ecoboost. Sad to hear that Ford is acting in such a manner based on photos and information that was obviously available to the public. Right or wrong the reaction sounds harsh to me. BTW I do love the F-150's towing, power, and interior cab design over both Chevy and Dodge.
Unfortunately I had already bought my 2012 F150 before I discovered TFLCar (there was no TFLTruck channel yet). The first video I ever saw was your 2013 mashup between an F150 and a Chevy 2500. One of the funniest tests you did was to find out which truck was easier to lift a Golden Retriever into the bed LOL! Here I am 7 years later, still a big fan you guys! But because of TFL, I was able to help friends and coworkers make decisions on car and truck buying. I would even show them TFL videos on the vehicles they were considering!

AL CAPPS 200 dollar oil change, 350 fuel filters and 80 dollar air filter every 15,000 miles. Def is 15 a gallon (all dealer). I started getting my Def attached pilot.
John Doe There you go again with a bunch of BS. Oil change = $80 at home, fuel filter is less than $100, you do not need an air filter every 15k. It says check the air filter and replace if necessary. DEF at Walmart is $7.88 for 2.5 gallons. Even Blue DEF at Advance Auto is $13 for 2.5 gallons. Do you even really own a diesel?
AL CAPPS I had a 2016 ram 2500 mega cab limited Cummins. Its was one of the best trucks I've ever owned. My 15 f150 and 19 longhorn was the worst. My 20 gmc sierra elevation with the 3.0 duramax is getting up there. Talk about poor quality! 🤦♂️
This is the first review I've ever seen from you guys that talked about the quality of the headlights despite my requesting it repeatedly, so bravo to you on that. The good news to your bad news is that I wound up going with the new Silverado HD which has PHENOMENAL LED headlights so it's a non-issue. Let me say to the folks out there who have more mature eyes and nighttime vision may be a critical item in which truck they purchase, get out there and do a night test-drive! There's no better time than now to do so since it's dark by 5 or 5:30. I don't often do a lot of night driving but when I do I need every advantage I can get. TFL Trucks! Start incorporating night drives into your truck reviews! There's a big segment of drivers out here who'd like to see it!
I must say I have the Platinum Tremor pack, and its going to be supercharged in a few weeks procharged. Ford just are loosing honest persons and feedback.
I test drove a 7.3 F250 SXT Package and the whole thing just felt cheap compared to my Ram 2500 tradesman with the Cummins. I bought a new 2019 Megacab ram 2500 with a Cummins for almost what an XLT Gas Ford F250 would cost.
I agree with everything you said. I recently did get a f150 to replace my ram because of you guys. I’m learning to accept the flaws in the truck but you guys did promote my purchase. I’ll be going back to ram after I put some miles on my king ranch. The interior quality doesn’t even come close to what I’m used to.
I normally agree with you guys and understand its sometimes a stretch to find things you don't like.... however on lower base level model trucks they all come with halogen headlamps, no dampened on tailgate, cheaper steering wheel etc... to accommodate the people wanting to spend less. When you spend less it is understood that you will not get upper level features... there comes a point when your after purchase mods have racked up and you could have just gotten the higher level trim. For this reason I went with a platinum trim level. Some of the don't likes are legit and some are petty imo. Good stuff and love the channel
