If only they could bring this musical back to Broadway. It is way too amazing with beautiful singing actors who actually have talent and deserve to be known. Simple minded people who cannot see its true beauty are robbed of elegant intelligence.
oh god I looove this song so much. I really really liked the whole musical but this is my number 1 song *.* there were times when i could not stop listening to this and I can see that this is going to happen again in the nearest future... ;p also that's how I found about Drew Sarich being such a great singer. It's a shame I never got to see the musical outside youtube
In my opinion, the producers didn't give it enough of a chance. If they had just let more people experience it, they would have seen what a huge fan base they have, many of them American. I know many many people who would have loved to see this show, but didn't hear about it until after it had already run its short lived time. It's really a shame, because from what I've seen/heard on RU-vid, this really was amazing. I would have truly loved to see it. Drew Sarich alone would have been enough ;D
I do blame many american audiences for not supporting this show, but don't blame all of us. This song introduced me to Drew Sarich and it is still my favorite song of his. I'm still angry i never saw the show and that the cd was never released. No wonder Drew and Frank Wildhorn left the US. We don't know how to appreciate great talents.
Only the Storry from Anne Rice, Interview with a Vampire, ist a verry greate Storry. I think, the German Musical Theatre should Try it a German Translation to create und play it on great Stages.
Personally I think it is a bit silly they decided to not release an official cast recording. Sure the shows might have done that well, but that's because not every VC fan can afford to come to a specific theatre to see such a show (as in VC fans are spread all over the world rather than centred around two American cities). However many more could afford buying a CD and I think many would be willing to, I at least would.
As an American, I can confirm that Americans don't like a lot of shows... Everything is done better in Germany though (in my opinion). Just one reason why I plan to work in performing arts administration in Germany as soon as I graduate college.
It was too convoluted of a show for it to work. It needs to be trimmed down. It has good music, great actors/singers, but it was just overlong; they should've focused on just one book from the Vampires series.
