In 2021, I was offered a place to undertake the Master of Arts Screen in Documentary Filmmaking at AFTRS: the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School located in Sydney. Although I won’t be taking up the offer, I enjoyed the application process, and would like to share my experience with anyone who might be interested in applying to the program. As such, in this video I’ll be going over each component of the application process, and explain how I approached the various tasks.

Hi! Thanks for your video, it helped with my application process a lot. I just got into the interview stage, and may I ask for more details of your interview? What kinda questions do they ask?

Hi Hang Yin, that's great to hear! In my interview, I was mainly asked to expand on the different elements of my application. It was more of a chat about my work, my reasons for applying, what I was hoping to get out of the program, and my influences. It was also an opportunity for me to ask them any questions I had about the program. They just want to get to know you a bit better so try to relax and be yourself.
