Thank you for this! We just made the decision for me to be a stay at home mom with our first child. It’s taken a lot of prayer, repentance, encouragement from my husband, and time in the Word to help me see this is what God made me for - it’s not a lesser call than a “career” that I spent too much money on a college degree for. Thank you for this video, for the scriptures and honest conversation to encourage me as daughter of Christ, wife, and mother in this decision. The Lord Jesus bless you all 🙏🏽

Good to hear Meryn! I think a stay at home mother is much more commendable than a “career”, anyway. You are helping your husband and raising your child instead of helping an owner of a company, who sees you as just another number. You will have a lasting impression on your family, whereas a “career” boss wouldn’t think twice about replacing you.
Just listening to this… I was in school since I was about 2 years old (something called maternal in my country) by the time I reached first grade I already had about 5-6 years in the school system. Just as you guys say, I was given pills to help me focus (recommended by a psychiatrist) I hated reading by the time I graduated college I had read maybe 20 ish books in the whole journey through school and college, I disliked school so much I never even attended my last 2 graduations. Now that I’m older I picked up reading again and have read more books in a year than books during those times. I have children of my own now and have turned to God (praise him) and can only say to anyone reading this comment, please take your kids out of the school system, if you have to downsize your life DO IT! You don’t need a bigger house, you don’t need two new cars, both of you don’t have to work necessarily, YOUR kids need you.
Yes, it would be seen as nagging especially if he is not in the financial position to shoulder the cost of such a lifestyle. If he can afford to homeschool then I'm sure it won't be nagging. The only people who I have seen who could afford homeschooling were the decently well off.
No, send it. Nagging is when you point out a shortcoming; this isn't something he's not doing, it's something you want to provide for your children. Those commenting about cost don't understand how affordable homeschooling can be. No need to be "well off". We send our kids to the Christian school at our church, and we are not wealthy by American standards. Homeschooling can be sustained for a fraction of the cost of a private Christian school. It's about priorities - what could be more important to invest in than your own children? I hope your persistence pays off.

Men who won't acknowledge what God's design is for women....are not men. Sadly, there aren't many men left in the church. Thankful for the Godly men who aren't afraid of being men and celebrating womanhood in God's image.
I’m thankful that I’m a rebel(passed on all the “popular” things to do) I wear it as a badge. If it doesn’t sit right with me(feminism, public schools,bad company, do what the “dr.” says). I’m happy my husband is a godly man and he’s allowed me to stay home and raise our boys(9 yrs. and counting). Married 17 yrs and pray for many more.
Be sure you marry a wise man or/woman. My father was very wise and paid for my mother to go to law school so she could support herself and their 3 kids in case he died. when he died she was able to use her high paying job at Defense Mapping Agency to take care of herself and kids. She also gave her church large sums of money.

Hey guys, I attend a Reformed Baptist Church. However, it is ate up with public school teachers. It vexes my soul in all honesty. The church even follows the public school calendar. Example: most of church services are shut down in the summer. What should I do? I've been praying about this for a very long time.
Try to reform it, share this episode, and then if it doesn't after gracious and strong informing, then possibly move to a Church that is much more Biblical
I wish people would stop giving advice like this. Disagreement over schooling is not a valid reason to leave a church that's preaching the gospel. How can we expect to build strong churches who persevere through trials if we run away when we don't get our way or because people don't share the same convictions on tertiary issues? I'd begin with discussing with the pastors and ask why you don't still meet in the summer. We used to not have children's ministry during the week in the summer until I was placed in leadership and said, "even if there aren't that many kids, we can still meet. There's no good reason to stop meeting during the week. We wouldn't stop the Sunday morning service or Sunday School over the summer." I'm so, so tired of people leaving churches for reasons like this. I knew people who left because "they weren't being fed" which is crazy because I was sitting under the same sermons! We went through rough times, but those who endured are now closer than we ever were before. We came out of it with a renewed faith that trusts that God will keep his promises and is able to rescue. Our church totally restructured and we went from having 1 paid pastor to 5 elders, a more biblical model. That was the catalyst for so much change, and it all began during sermons that "weren't feeding people." If Paul, writing 1 Corinthians or Galatians, can still call those foolish churches "brothers" and speak of how he longs to visit them, how he prays for them constantly, why should we be so quick to abandon God-fearing people who if anything need discipleship! It seems like many who dip their toes into theological maturity develop a sort of pride that says, "I figured it out, these people just won't listen" when scripture teaches that it is God who softens the heart, God who gives wisdom, God who breathes new life into dead sinners, and God who sustains. If Moses, Elijah, Nehemiah, and even Jesus himself did not abandon these weaker brothers, we have no right unless they forsake the gospel in which case they should be "handed over to Satan" and we should pray that God, "Grant's them grace that leads to repentance." No more of this, "leave your church to the wolves" nonsense.
@@elijah4606 I understand what you are saying, but shouldn't you work out your salvation "in fear and trembling"? I am not agreeing or disagreeing, but rather stating we should not fixate on what others are doing, but we should follow the Holy Spirit where He leads us. The Spirit testifies with our spirit. If we focus on following Jesus everything will work itself out because Jesus promises the "gates of Hell will not prevail against His church". Some churches need to have their candlesticks removed because they are teaching a false gospel and ungodly worship. Jesus is revealing His church through trials and fire. Trust Him. God speed!
My little sister could not pronounce the TR sound when she was small. It came out as an F sound. My mom and dad became concerned when she was saying "truck" . 😂 They worked with her, she grew out of it pretty quick.
Also, we were homeschooled. They sheltered us well enough that we had no idea that our sister was saying a bad word. I Didn't even realize this until much later in life.❤

I've been listening to WPS for years. We are blessed to have our kids in a private christian school. It hurts the savings account for sure. The cost/ investment is well worth it. Parents, make sure you are disciplining your kids at home. Right on the juvenile behavior of our "Leaders". Imagine George Washington, Jefferson, Adams conversations.
Agree. Vital to the private Christian school route is ensuring that the curriculum and environment are in agreement with what you believe your children should learn. That aspect is completely lost in modern public education, and frankly it was never a good solution because the children have always been fed the teachings of each individual instructor and the state. Today, that learning also comes from peers, as bad actors have never been more free to do as they please than now.
My problem is that my husband has a TBI and therefore legit memory issues. If I ask him to do something more than once I’m nagging. If I don’t then he forgets and it’s my fault because I didn’t remind him. (According to him.) A written to do list gets set down elsewhere or ignored. 🤷♀️ So now I ask once and if it doesn’t get done I just start doing whatever it is, either I finish the job and at least it’s done or he will come out and take over so I don’t screw it up. 😂

That "My husband is not leading spiritually" statement is a load of garbage 99% of the time because the same women who have so much energy to accuse and criticize never mention how they are fervently praying for, praying with, supporting, encouraging, thanking and sharing scripture with their husbands in response to his so called "lack of leadership". Since they are not responding to the lack of leadership in a godly way, it proves that their attitude towards their husband is contempt and not loving or supportive and they need to repent. Especially when the women are married!(Husbands are to teach their wives) I stopped going to them because like that court trial, women never get to the Bible study! They aren't biblical or historical, are they?
The topic of Exodus-from-public-school-on-principle is my pet peeve at this point. I think the public schooling was a gift from God that Christians ignored with the consequences we observe now. To say the least - use discriminative language; not all schools the same. There was no serious threat to a child of a Christian in 90's or earlier. Even today the ireconcilable issues are only in heavy liberal school districts. If all Christians, all at once, get out of public schools, then ALL schools will become drag infested. Good luck preaching to the society 10 years after.
Some real concerns with John recently. his language online in videos is NOT becoming of a minister of the gospel. His partnering with Driscol as a brother in Christ and fellow minister is deeply concerning. I wish someone close to him would caution him.
My little sister is a high school junior taking college classes. She told me that she and the other two homeschool kids are the top three in the class by a landslide. I remember being a sophomore in high school helping my public school senior friends which their AP government classes. I know homeschool kids who are pretty lacking in schooling but that’s on the parents. Homeschool where parents are involved are almost always going to turn out on the top of the testing score board… also on the socialization side of things also.
I was saved out of feminism 2 years ago. I am now married, a full time home maker, and submissive to my husband. Feminism led me to witchcraft, new age, and to even think I was bisexual (though I had never been attracted to women prior, or after). Praise GOD

Jesus loved women and protected them. He knew the fate that would behalf nearly all his apostles. He was sparing them. Now, there were definitely female martyrs, not saying he spared women in general. We all suffer for Christ in some way. Carrying the gospel to parts of the world that never heard it before required men. The world did not treat women well at all in early AD. Women would not have been taken seriously, and I shudder to think what would have happened to them had they been the ones to sent.
Sadly, feminism has even found a home in missions. It should not be promoted with young, single women. Men should be the ones and what a blessing if he has a wife by his side to support him. I’ve seen publications promoting young single women on missions all over the world. This is contradictory to God’s word.

A woman not having a career leaves her financial status and those of her children in the hands of her husband....for as long as he decides to stay in love with her. That is not a good strategy. My mother was a homemaker, my father did not allow her to work outside the home. He allowed her to do some sewing work which literally gave her the equivalent of $40 per week. She was however forced to spend that money on food as once she started to earn that he said he had no reason to pay for the family food bill. She had no savings, no insurance nothing. He eventually did leave her for no other reason than he wanted to move on. Throughout the marriage she endured beatings from him as did us children and after he left the family was plunged into debt. After my father left, she then had to go out to work to keep a roof over our heads. A woman being dependent on her husband works in a perfect world not a fallen one. I would not advise my daughter to live like that. Btw, my father called himself a Christian 😑😑

I'm sorry your mother had to go through that. However, the issue was not that your mom was a homemaker but that she married a bad man. There are plenty of women, many that I know personally, that are homemakers and have great marriages. The solution is always the gospel. It creates good men who love and lead their families and women who support and nurture the home.

But sadly (for him or anyone it applies to), we are also judged by the company that we keep and whether or not we are constantly sharing the true Gospel with them while the Holy Spirit convicts so that there is no excuse. Because simply "hanging out" and supporting them while you know they are plainly wrong with extremely important things, is also wrong. And obviously another easy point is that the masses who notice who else you associate with will undoubtedly check out those people too and just go a long with them also assuming they are fine. The more influence you have the more responsibility you have in these things. Obviously "you" is John (or whomever it applies).

I just wanna suggest, out of love, to don't mix your personal feelings about things into scripture. It says no where in the Bible that drinking alcohol is a sin. It does say that drunkenness is a sin though. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive.
