Thank you for watching. The White Farm Equipment story is an interesting one. In the 1950’s through the 70’s White Motors was the largest producer semi trucks in North America. They diversified in the 60’s buying three farm equipment brands and Euclid construction equipment. I am glad you like the Minneapolis-Moline. I would like to get to film more Cockshutts like the 570, 1950-T, 2150 and 1855.

I never heard of Cockshutt till I saw my first one on Classic Tractor Fever or Minneapolis Moline for that matter. I've lived in the Missouri Bootheel most of my life.

WFE and Oliver tractors are machines I am always looking to film. I have an Oliver 1850 video on the way. The Work Horses are stand out in the silver line. Thank you for watching.

In the 60’s a 12 row was huge. 8 row planters were big time. 12 row planters really became more common by the mid 70’s when folding tool bars became available. Before that the big planters were transported on a flat deck trailer from field to field.

Very cool. I have always wanted an 8000 Series. The 8510 to 8810 is big on my wish list to film.

I find most often with WFE owners they were a loyal Oliver or Moline customer and just kept going. A farm I visit started as Moline event to WFE and is now Challenger. They have stuck with the products as they evolved.

This was filmed in 2015. I have a big archive of unused footage.

I do not know. I saw on Machinery Pete a used 2014 model is listed for $50,000.

That is always a topic of debate. The 4-150 may have been introduced at farm shows in the fall of ‘73 but it would have been a model ‘74 year tractor.

First production White 4-150 SN 246-001 produced March 6, 1974. Per White design and refinement Form 432-696.

That is a marker arm. It draws a line for the tractor to follow back so each pass and all the rows line up.

It’s as simple as that. I will have a video talking about how it works soon.

The magnum has the 8.3litre.Cummins in it.

And glad I got the 8.3 than the little 5.9 pickup truck engine

This was filmed in 2015. It was something I wanted to share for a while. People seem more inclined to watch Planter videos in the spring season than other times of the year. I have a big archive of videos filmed but not used yet.

@@bigtractorpower That does make sense. I for one am glad to see good footage, old or new - the equipment matters, not the date number we put under it.

WFE Field Boss tractors were based on Oliver designs. The 130 to 150 hp machines were on the Oliver 2050/2150 and the 180 on the 2255. I have not noticed them to be light compared to other tractors.

Funny you say that they are light Jason. Oliver made a big deal back in the day that they are heaver do to their cast frame. No other tractor line had a cast frame that cradled the engine. The other brands used engine block as the frame. The Olivers also had a cast grill that add 300 to 500 pounds depending on the model. The seat was also set directly over the rear axel for a clear view of the rear hitch. Other brands set forward of axel and had a fuel tanks blocking the view of the hitch. JD put the fuel tank on the noise to add weight to the nose to help with front nose being light. White/Oliver FWA models do have more of a rear rake to them than a two wheel drive does. I was told that it was design that way to give better clearance for cultivating. We never cultivated any thing so I can't say if it did or not. LOL @@bigtractorpower
