Thanks for making this video we have the exact same tractor in 2wd on my grandfathers dairy farm (not so much of a dairy farm anymore as all of the cows were sold and we only bail hay now) so we mostly use this to run our John Deere 946 moco

The john deere round roll is the most widely used bailer down in south georgia

Excellent video B.T.P.,this White 6175 isn't messin'around,8.5 miles per hour is really"flyin'"across the field,it's not as"pretty"as the older Whites built back in the mid to late 1970's,but still doin'the job. The Deere round baler was working very well,I was impressed at how fast he can move out with it. I'd like to see how the Krone version of this baler would"stack up"with this Deere machine.

I'm a big Oliver fan but when that series White came out they were behind. I ran that exact model when it was new and thought it was ok until I ran a new 8670 Ford (white had hyd. issues and dealer sent a loaner), the 8670 was just all around better to operate and much more comfortable, while it had slightly less rated power you never noticed it on the 7 btm. 18" plow I was turning sod with. It also was better on fuel as I recall. Over the years I always noticed you didn't see many of this series white. Thanks for posting this video of one of the last work horse models, it takes me back.

I’m not the biggest fan of the white tractor name but it’s got that Cummins under the hood and that’s what really matters I think 🧰 And nice John Deere baler it’s poling too !

The JD round balers must have changed a bit in the last 20 years. I remember having to go pretty steady when starting the core, and with hay especially the pickup had to be monitored constantly for blockages - made for a sore neck! Wheat/barley straw from a straw-walker combine (remember those?!) made the best swath for round-baling. Rotary combines didn’t make such good straw for bedding material as it tended to be over-threshed.

I'm curious how people get by with these balers on steep ground?? We have a jd 435 and my dad won't buy a new baler because you can slowly open the gate and catch bales with ours. These new ones just sling them out so on steep hills how would you ever set bales out safely lol
