@StrenghtSuspension Nah dude, ships are just ridiculously strong and there has to be a feasible land unit to handle anti-ship. Springald seems like a pretty damn good pick given that it's an anti siege unit.

So many things these devolpers have dropped the ball on. The really need to get there heads straight . We shouldn't have to wait a long time for them to fix things in this game.

There's some logic for it. Springalds are anti-artillery. Ships are artillery on water. Springalds should be effective against ships.

They're all on xbox gamepass for PC. If you have gamepass they're free. I'm running through all the different campaigns.. a bit from each here and there. Currently half way through the aoe3 Campaign.

@@lucaxtshotting2378 he’s tried tower rushed with chinese before. He probably didnt realize how even it was. But don could drop more keeps. The road to the top of map had already sealed. Viper would need imperial, a large army, several bombards to prevent an impending sacred site victory. I still wish to see it contested though

@@lucaxtshotting2378 Lack of interest is BS, and likely not the case. I watched all of TheViper's games in this tournament and he was putting in a lot of work, especially against Knuschelbar. It's more likely a problem of TheViper being way too used to playing with scores being visible like it is in AOE2.

no i think he realised he would've needed atleast 2 or 3 pushes to get through the landmark. And his opponents was capping both sacred sites. his chances of winning in the next 10 minutes was really low.

It's balanced against College of Artillery - i see both being built. They might be one of the best balanced pair of landmarks, actually.

Thing is people tend to go for Artillery building more. Also i main France and i prefer the English Imperial castle since it deals with artillery better, but guess its personal preference.

Berkshire is better and it outranges bombards and springalds. It has 15 range :D

@@lineasevenadam5009 Berkshire is garbage. It shoots arrows which don’t do anything to most late game units (knights, siege, MAA, etc)

No reason, if anything it's more the reason to go for chamber of commerce. Sea dominance means free trade ships for French.

I think the main reason is that chamber of commerce is really good in long games, which are much more common on water maps. It also makes trade ships and traders return their value much faster. If you have water dominance, your trade ships can move back and forth freely and you don't have to worry about value returned, so the extra 30% trade is less valuable compared against 20% faster knight production. EDIT: Chamber of Commerce is obviously still really good because that 30% gain means getting a lot more gold per trip, but 20% faster knight production lets you counter early spears easier and ultimately build a large army in the mid-game.

No no no, in high-elo games, French will be needing chamber of commerce as a fast market to support double hulk come out ASAP cuz they are pretty costly, that's why you need the chamber of commerce. Currently, chamber of commerce does not give you additional trade gold income. In this case, Viper did not really contest the water, so you do not need to make 2 hulks ASAP. So you better just get a free 20% faster stable.

I feel like if its in text, its not a bug. Stats like that would have to be input. Unlike the bug where British trebuchets can't attack siege units.
