PK chicks is sitting in a port-o-potty outhouse while providing commentary for this video. Every time you hear the background noise of a garden-shed door, or plastic cabinet door shut, is that moment when a random person opens the door only to see it’s occupied. “Oh, sorry man, didn’t know you were filming an age of mythology video in here. Otherwise I would’ve respectfully given you space...” they mumble as they slam the door shut in search of a different port-o-potty!

Wow this is spectacular. To be onest I have a weakness for AoM and smh I've always wanted to play it not for efficiency but for aesthetics... like I want to keep the purity of the game so I'm not into this type of matchups but MAN THIS IS SPECTACULAR and very enjoyable. Thank you for the commentary. Very useful.

MAN this game brings so much memories.This is my childhood game,first game I ever played!.AoM and AoM 2 were insanely good.The story thru the roof!Everytime I see a vid of this game it touches my heart.Its so sad that they fucked AoM 3's campaign..

Bro, why do you pronounce cavalry so funny? ˈkavəlrē Zues player suicided nearly his entire army on that tc after anc/eclipse..cost him the game. He had to rebuild entire army and never got to heroic.

Is better go Athena...Is better for late...And also early wood cost units like Aoe 2 are very hard coz wood need for farms and plus you got Manticore in 3 age witch is same wood range unit

i own the steam, but people say that the game crashes a lot. Then again, this might be due to Tale of the Dragon Expansion.

the Extended Edition remake has WAY more lag, lower fps, and 100s of more bugs, not to mention frequent game crashes. the EE Devs only sold the game for money, because they never patched the most basic issues after release

Can anyone who is more knowledgeable than me explain why the AoE scene is big and still going strong, while the AoM “scene” seems to be 30 or so guys playing with each other? Is the games just in different leagues quality wise? Why is no one making good AoM content?

I believe that AoM is more repetitive; AoE has way more civilizations, variants in strategy and such, which leads to more interesting games.

The AOE community is more willing to make improvements, release new modes, make new maps, organize tournaments etc. Even the commentary of high level matches is outstanding. In general, I believe AOE is better than AOM, which had firstly led more people into the AOE community, so more people would be found to improve the game. Also, look at this match up for example, there is basically one fight happening for more than 10 minutes, with units being replenished so quickly, so it is just a matter who can bring more troops into the fight faster. Whereas in AOE, fights last way less, and can be really decisive, so you need to emphasize on micro, unit choice and a little tactics.

AoE has a lot more variety and easier to follow. And each unit feels more balanced and counter intuitive. whereas for AoM, I think players dont really pay a lot attention to unit micro management and almost always just flood the opponent with more army and makes it more or less uninteresting to watch. It boils down who boom first or who dried up later. what im saying is, the thing the players in tournament does can be achieved by almost any player. If we can find a really focused AoM player who can present a unique play it will definitely attract more into community

I'm not being smart, but when did RU-vid decide to allow money to change hands like this. About 6 years ago I lost my money when a guy was doing something similar to what you're doing and because I was involved I was cautioned and the guy running it was barred. Is it OK now or are you playing "under the table" :-) If it's legit I may get involved again.
