Just tried it. Turns out that if you just let your Dragon Lord solo the smaller camps and neutrals you get all the XP for them only. So they level really fast. Made a classic red dragon and specced mostly into the dragon specifics and man does that bigboi slap shit around. Just had to take a break for today since I really wanna take my time and properly roleplay my despotic dragon lord ruler on a good map. (I played on the Story2 map which was a mistake because I was hardlocked into an alliance and eventually ran out of stuff to kill without trespassing and all that jazz)
Anyone else suddenly having issues with the game hanging since the update? The paradox launcher starts fine from the steam library, but when I click play on the launcher, the game hangs. Didn't do this before the update (I have several hundred hours of play, so was working fine). I've validated the files, run as administrator, optimized video card settings, uninstalled and reinstalled. The update seems to have broken the game for me : (

that's kinda the two alternating settings of any fantasy story with dragons or similar creatures. when they are long gone there's a sentiment of awe and longing for their return, when they're present it's usually "OH GOD HELP US THESE GIANT FIRE BREATHING MAN EATING MONSTERS ARE EVERYWHERE" it's really funny
Skink mounts would be awesome. Add that in for a racial trait like the other mounts. Have them be able to do an acid attack and possibly cavalry get the poisonous trait or able to evolve into the larger skink-like unit.
love the dlc my only wish was that i could make my dragon with no wings like a more Eastern style or to able to make it land locked like some old tales of earth dragons that dont fly. Minor thing but ether way just loving it and cant wait to see the other dlc's coming.
Legitimately one of the best voice overs I have ever heard. I mean, I was hyped already given how much I have played the game, but I am getting this expansion and jumping in right now as we speak cos of how great this was lol. Awesome work guys.
Saw few gamers playing pre release game of Dragon Dawn. My biggest problem with it was how lizard folk are just one race, with possible heads of snakes, crocodile etc. We started with 10+ races to make our own while DLC give us one that supposed to represent entire reptile folk. They really missed the mark making snake people walk on two feet instead of having snake bottoms.
I'd love lamias, taurs etc as an option for some of the more animalistic races in the future. Would be a lot more animation work but hey maybe the expac mentioning more beast races could make it happen
@@soogymoogi I think we'll just get more of what moles, felines and rats are, using the same animation skeleton. Adding anything like the other I feel is beyond the artists Triumph got. Unless they simply take the torso and slap a separate body that doesn't use any culture assets and shares animation with something else, which would likely disappoint people but making armor and stuff for each culture and unit with a different bottom half body would be a ton of work for apparently the 2 artists Triumph has.
@@prinstyrio0 They could give us canine races (wolves, gnolls etc.) and maybe some bird like races, I do remember that old master of magic (and remake) have very diverse pack of races and now they just have to copy it. I did miss lizards from the base game and now I am disappointed how lacklustre they are when compared to base races.
Great expansion, but this trailer has quite the "missed opportunity" with the whole "A New Dawn will break..." at the end. It really feels like it should have been "A New Dawn will break... In this Age of Wonders!"
