Live Coverage: Ahmaud Arbery Death - Gregory, Travis McMichael and William Bryan Trial
Happening In Court:
Arguments Outside The Presence Of The Jury
Motions Hearing
Prosecution Closing Argument by Linda Dunikoski
Charges against all 3 defendants: 9 Counts. Malice Murder, Felony Murder x4, Aggravated Assault x2, False Imprisonment, Criminal attempt to commit a felony
- Grand jury indicted all 3 on June 24, 2020.
Definition of Malice Murder: Malice murder is a criminal offense in the U.S. state of Georgia, committed when a homicide is done with express or implied malice.
Gregory McMichael, 64, son Travis McMichael, 34, and neighbor William Bryan, 50, are accused of chasing down the victim in a tragic confrontation on Feb. 23 in Brunswick, Georgia.
The question before the court is: Is this murder? Prosecutors and attorneys for Arbery’s family say yes. The McMichaels chased the victim in a Ford F-150, while Bryan drove a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, authorities said. Bryan filmed while father and son confronted the 25-year-old Arbery, and Travis shot the victim with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to the indictment obtained by Law&Crime.
At the time of the killing, Gregory McMichael allegedly told police that they believed Arbery was involved in several burglaries in the area. But there was only one reported burglary in the area in recent weeks: a January 1 alleged theft in which a gun was stolen from a pickup truck outside Travis McMichael’s home.
911 audio from shortly before the shooting showed a caller reporting a black man in a white T-shirt at a nearby house under construction.

Kyle Rittenhouse: self defense This case: clear murder
@donniematonnie9378
@donniematonnie9378 2 года назад
First off kyle "punkazz" rittenhouse is NOT there to protest against the cowardly police. kyle "punkazz" rittenhouse is there at the protest to threathen protestors, but kyle's problem is: he looks like a little GIRL holding a rifle. So naturally people are going to try an disarm him AFTER he starts pointing his weapon at them. Just like the prosecutor SAID: a person cannot bring a firearm to the party to provoke people and then claim self defense when somebody tries to disarm their punkazz. kyle rittenhouse brought the gun to the party enstein which means that COWARD is as guilty as SIN. Here's another way to look at it: kyle points that AR15 at your brother and it was your little brother that got himself killed trying to disarm kyle's punkazz.

@@22483johnnie It's kind of like the citizen's arrest kind of argument. Was any crime actually being committed before the first shooting? And was there any evidence actually supporting that Rittenhouse knew this. He aimed at people and shot people that chased him. But for the prosecution, it was hard to prove what kind of words were exchanged or whether Rittenhouse's first victim was reacting to his aiming at someone else. Without a strong argument for charges against Rittenhouse and evidence tying it altogether, it was right to acquit him. This prosecutor is brilliant with how she displays and argues details by law and logic to laymen.

Ahmaud felt threatened by THREE people and decided to defend himself. He had already tried to disengage from the situation multiple times, but these guys kept the situation going. How many times does Ahmaud have to avoid them before he is allowed to defend himself when they threatened him?

What if a guy follows a girl running down the street and says, hey let me talk to you. She turns and runs the opposite direction. He follows her. This happens for several minutes. She finally stops running. He gets out. She charges at him and swings and he punches her, she falls hits her head and dies. NOBODY would say the man was defending himself. Anybody with common sense would see that she was trying to defend herself.
