Live Coverage: Ahmaud Arbery Death - Gregory, Travis McMichael and William Bryan Trial
Happening In Court:
Prosecution Rebuttal Closing Argument by Linda Dunikoski
Arguments Outside The Presence Of The Jury
Defense Motion for Mistrial
Charges against all 3 defendants: 9 Counts. Malice Murder, Felony Murder x4, Aggravated Assault x2, False Imprisonment, Criminal attempt to commit a felony
Grand jury indicted all 3 on June 24, 2020.
Definition of Malice Murder: Malice murder is a criminal offense in the U.S. state of Georgia, committed when a homicide is done with express or implied malice.
Gregory McMichael, 64, son Travis McMichael, 34, and neighbor William Bryan, 50, are accused of chasing down the victim in a tragic confrontation on Feb. 23 in Brunswick, Georgia.
The question before the court is: Is this murder? Prosecutors and attorneys for Arbery’s family say yes. The McMichaels chased the victim in a Ford F-150, while Bryan drove a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, authorities said. Bryan filmed while father and son confronted the 25-year-old Arbery, and Travis shot the victim with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to the indictment obtained by Law&Crime.
At the time of the killing, Gregory McMichael allegedly told police that they believed Arbery was involved in several burglaries in the area. But there was only one reported burglary in the area in recent weeks: a January 1 alleged theft in which a gun was stolen from a pickup truck outside Travis McMichael’s home.
911 audio from shortly before the shooting showed a caller reporting a black man in a white T-shirt at a nearby house under construction.

100% CORRECT! Keep in mind Arbery is still running the whole time attempting to avoid these killers and at that road block he was still attempting to avoid contact, however it was their intention that Arbery was NOT going to get past their Road Block alive. Their plan was either he STOPS at that road block and submits to them or DIES, thus their reason for having their loaded guns in hand. Again, they decided before they set up the road block it was Arbery's final destination, dead or alive. i.e. either stop and submit or DIE! No Citizens Arrest! That was never part of their plan, that was something their lawyers made up. When the police arrived neither one of them told police they were attempting a Citizen's Arrest!

It is insane. To some degree though, because the police were so sloppy and clearly biased meant that the 3 of them were very open about what they’d done at the scene and with their statements, so they really incriminated themselves and cooperated fully. The fact that they are so silent now, except Travis now completely changing his story, they’re not so brave now. You would hope that having the facts of the case so clearly laid out about the truth of their behaviour would make them feel ashamed. Well they have the rest of their lives to contemplate where their hatred lead them.

I returned to this video a year later after my first post and I'm just noticing Linda Dunikoski s slide presentation at 1:32:11 & 1:33:36 of Ahmaud Arbery laying in the street on his back dead. 1:33:36 is the most astonishing photo of all showing a shotgun blast hole in the center of Arbery's chest. You can see the other shotgun blast hole in the side of his chest near his arm pit in 1:32:11. These shotgun blasts caused him to bleed out saturating his clothing from top to bottom, essentially a "blood bath." This is the most disturbing part of Linda's presentation that brings all the elements together of this execution revealing just how deranged and evil these three killers are. Notice how the impact of those two (2) Shotgun blasts literally ripped Arbery's clothing apart. And just think, they will all go to their graves insisting they did absolutely nothing wrong. No remorse whatsoever and keep in mind they celebrated what they did to Arbery posting it on Facebook. What I don't understand however is how they escaped being given the death sentence due to them "laying-in-wait" at the road block they set up with a shotgun & .357 Mag handgun. This typically results in a "Special Circumstance" Charge added to the underlying Murder Charge resulting in the death penalty. Now pay close attention to the foregoing and keep in mind the sequence of shotgun blasts according to the Medical Examiner on Cross Examination by Linda Dunikoski: 1). Travis initially shot Arbery with his shotgun at close range within 3 Feet or less that struck both his wrist AND blasted a large hole in the center of his chest. This occurred immediately BEFORE physical contact with each other off camera in front of the pick up truck's front end. (At this point it became apparent to Travis that Arbery wasn't going to stop running so he decided to shoot and kill him right then and there in front of the pick up Truck, again BEFORE they made physical contact with each other). Upon this initial shotgun blast to the center of Arbery's chest, Arbery had a massive surge of adrenaline that enabled him to run toward Travis in an attempt to deflect the shotgun to prevent from getting shot again which is what we saw next on camera described in #2 below. 2). Next they emerged on camera to the left of the pick up truck in physical contact struggling with each other for control of the shotgun but within a split second before that Travis had already reloaded his shotgun by pump action and discharged it a 2nd time but it missed Arbery for reason Arbery managed to deflect the shotgun despite having a large hole in the center of his chest from the first shotgun blast. The Medical Examiner said that Arbery had an immediate adrenaline surge that enabled him to attempt to fight off the attack despite being mortally wounded. 3). Travis then discharged his shotgun a 3rd time during their physical struggle that blasted a hole in the Left side of Arbery chest near his Left Arm Pit. According to the Medical Examiner either of the TWO (2) shotgun blasts that struck Arbery were sufficient to cause his death. Importantly, keep in mind that the shotgun Travis used was a 12 Gage "Pump Action" which means he had to manually reload his shotgun by pump action between each blast in order to discharge it two additional times AFTER the initial blast! This reveals his aggressive, proactive, and deliberate directive to KILL Ahmaud. Otherwords, those shotgun blasts didn't occur spontaneously due to their physical struggle. NO! Each shotgun blast required a "Manual Reloading Effort" by Travis and pulling the trigger each time. The "take away?" They very clearly intended to KILL Arbery if he didn't STOP RUNNING! Remember Greg McMichael, shouting at Arbery "stop or I'll blow your F**king head off." Well, Travis carried out his dad's directive to KILL Arbery if he didn't stop running. Otherwords their mind set was "stop running and submit to us and explain what you're doing running down the street in our neighborhood or you won't live to see another day" They're among the WORST PREDATORY CRIMINALS in U.S. History

although i hold no favour towards these convicts (excepting that i do not view roddy bryan as a murderer) , note that the prosecutor "concedes" that it is not known to a certainty at which point ahmaud struck mcmichael. further, the shotgun, as i understand it, required only a trigger pull for the initial shot.
@archangelvvv
@archangelvvv 9 месяцев назад
@@daktarioskarvannederhosen2568 NO! You're describing a semi-automatic Shotgun, not a Pump Action Shotgun. A Pump Action Shot gun is just that. You must MANUALLY PUMP IT to eject the spent shotgun shell after the first blast which then reloads the chamber with the next shotgun shell. Go to a sporting good store that sells shotguns and ask them to explain this to you. A semi-automatic shotgun automatically loads itself after each pull of the trigger. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Arbery was shot with a PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN!

Compared to Ms Dunakoski these defense attorneys are weak minded. Her knowledge of law is more complete; her observation of plain facts, like when Matt Albenese is actually pointing (that destroys a major defense argument; that anybody could have noticed) They know there getting beat. Their only play is this desperate move for a mistrial.

Modern day lynching. Jim Crow esque. The defence attorney reminded me of Jim Crow. How fortunate that there was a sensible Georgia Jury who could clearly see the truth - he was lynched. Does show how much times change, in 1960s and before the Defendants wouldn’t have even been arrested or questioned. A Jury obviously would found not guilty regardless if what they say or heard. It shows how much progress there has been in the USA even though still some way to go.
