I've been trying to enjoy the show, but it does take a fair amount of turning your brain off. While a few of your critiques are a bit too nitpicky, the point you made about Filoni having a better grasp on directing animated shows is spot on. I keep watching this show and thinking it would have been amazing if it were animated with the original voice actors. The live action actors lack the personality and physical mannerism of the characters they're portraying. Also, like everyone is saying, Baylan Skoll is the most nuanced Star Wars character to come out of Disney SW in a long time, much of it brought to screen by a phenomenal actor. It's almost depressing to know that we won't see Ray Stevenson in this role again. I'm not really looking forward to Episode 5 because Hayden Christenson, while a nice person, is a terrible actor. His delivery of any given line is near comical, almost Tommy Wiseau-esque. Matt Lanter is the one who saved Anakin and gave him a real personality. But, this episode is supposed to be a big one, seeing as how they're showing it in select theaters. We'll see... Anyway, you have honest complaints that I can respect. Thumbs up and subbed.
Thank you! This show would've been better animated. Would've kept to the spirit of Rebels/Clone Wars too. I don't agree that Christensen is quite that bad, but it's a sign of how bad Star Wars is doing that they are banking on him to bring in the views. I am amusing myself superimposing him onto scenes from the Room though 😂
Looks like more of the same old formula NOBODY is interested in. Strong Female characters that have no struggle. Boring predictable snooze fest. Modern media is so bad, nobody even really notices the actor/writer strike. They produce nothing but excrement anyway, if anything, there's less clutter without all the additional shit floating around.
