I was actually thinking about the fact that our social media and our media consumption is regulated by AI, it shows us most of what we see, so if you spending a lot of time on your screen, you continue to consume a certain type of media. And it doesn’t show you, what you need to see, but rather more of what you are seeing. So if you are depressed, you continue to watch depressing content as a teenager and no one is there to stop you. So initially if you were just sad, and you watch videos of depression, you become depressed because you consumed all that media. How crazy this is, OMG!. And a person can become a product of all the content they consume. We think that social media is made by people but what we read and what video we see is controlled by AI.

When you take a rock and smack it onto another rock, they both make a sound and both rocks vibrate. That's a very basic and simple form of conciousness and people don't seem to understand that we only differ from rocks in complexity of vibrations. What I'm trying to say is that AI is already conscious. Everything that exists is concious on different levels of complexity.

Fantastic talk, but your rather quick dismissal during the Q&A of the thought that AGI may already exist sort of contradicted your earlier observation (I think on Russel Brand's podcast?) that TRUE power normally conceals itself. If AGI existed, wouldn't it do well to keep itself concealed until it had all the resources and game plan established to ensure it could successfully achieve its goals?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that the general public should ever have access to an AI that can produce something new on its own, that being text, visual art, music, and so on. The possibilities of people being manipulated, "hypnotized" or anything of the sort, by an incredibly smart AI system like OpenAI, without anyone knowing (because your interactions with OpenAi are "private", as in, you can interact with it from your room, without your friends or family knowing what you're being "fed") are very high
