Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell played very well down the stretch of the 2023 season. Check out what he has to say about the upcoming 2024 season here in his first official presser of the new season. Video by Sean Zittel
It's hilarious you say this😂😂😅 . He balled his draws off under all the shenanigans and being a rookie. I keep thinking of all the first rounders in his class, and was only out balled by 1.
I Agree, remember TB was hot garbage for his rookie season thats why he started off his rookie year as a 3rd string qb. AOC looked good his rookie year given the situation!
@@christopherking4719 I found myself wanting them to draft a QB but then I realized AOC did good and more than likely he will be better plus after Jayden was gone no other QB looked good anyways
Can’t wait to see what this kid can do. I expect a marked jump in production and play making ability. And i predict we will see him avoid pressure and occasionally scramble.
He just needs to be gannon mobile. Menuver the pocket, scramble a bit, and get some first downs with his legs. Nothing crazy just a little quicker on the feet cause he has an arm and a pretty deep ball.
Well look at QB's that helped win 3 Super Bowls Kenny Stabler(1 Super Bowl 1),Jim Plunkett(2 Super Bowl wins) both of them good scrambling QB's/game players & QB AOC just needs 101 scrambling abilities for extending plays down field with better accuracy with better QB awareness in the pocket so hopefully the best QB coaches can fix his problems on the field but in reality other 3 QB's Gardner Minshew,Anthony Brown Jr. ,Carter Bradley are more more mobile can scramble more than QB AOC snail 🐌 QB slower than molasses on the field
He didn’t really have the time to build up that chemistry with the wrs last year. He was thrown in the fire and played alright during pressure. Give him a whole offseason to learn everything and practice this offseason with our receivers and he’s good
THIS IS THE RIGHT GUY FOR THIS JOB , HE WILL TAKE THE RAIDERS TO THE BIG DANCE ! YOU HURD IT HEAR FIRST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have all seen when a new QB to a team start the beginning of the season then half way through the season finally it clicks Then we say o. "! (wait till next year after he has a full training camp as starter and we are going to be competitive That is why AOC is the man he knows the team. He's been under center. It's a new season. And as coach say stack wins With AOC we're not starting from scratch we know what to work on and AOC can flat out place the ball in spots I've never seen before with authority why go in to a season and not know how the team is going to respond to a new QB and look 80 persent of the QB taken are not starting 3 years from the draft I see an good advantage to AOC. The team can learn to battle together he'll they already are doing that. And other then the fourth quarter of Miami game were AOC threw three picks at the end trying to do any thing and trying to make up ground he has a lower turn over rating than any QB in the NFL vetrans and rookies We're not starting from scratch with AOC we're going to have to learn how to win weekly and hope fully we will not drop a couple of games early in the season and never two in a row I don't believe that a #1 pick this year would make us any better. Most likely. History shows it would be worst look at year to year play from QB in NFL rookies only about 3 persent of all rookies over year to year go to post season starting out we win with tenacity and hard work and more than that perfect practices focus in working on things spend more time in the gym more time on the field coming to work earlier working your ass off if you want it you got to go out and work no fancy little first round draft picks going to do that for us
AOC is gonna ball out! Those of u not getting behind him hope u find a new team when he balls out. Packer fans asking for Adams to be cut his first couple of years feel pretty stupid. Don’t be part of that bunch. Sincerely the RAIDER NATION
He is a definition pocket passer. He was chosen by ziggy & McDumbass because he is like a jr. brady in style, technique, accuracy, etc. remember brady sat back seat for years and that was the plan with him. Pocket passers always develop slower than running QB. We died with DC4 because he was a pocket passer- the biggest difference is pocket passers NEED a top O-line to win. DC4 never had one, for Aiden to be a big winner he will need it and we don’t have it. Why you think Gruden/Mayock took Alex Leatherwood in first round when they did? They realized what was needed- he was just the wrong guy. He had an amazing guard next to him to make up for his weaknesses in college. Our best hope is the two killer TE we now have - if they run a 12 front (two TE sets) that will have another blocker on the line for pass plays and messes with the defense when we go with run plays. We will have to run the 12 at least 25% of the time and that means not using guys like Tucker the speedster as often.
@@shawnstandiford6008 hahahaha. You won't be saying that in January. I Doubt our defense can carry him to 10+ wins. They barely got him 5 out 11 games he was in/started
I’m sorry but AOC is not a upgrade from Carr or even Minshew so those of you that think he is the answer to our QB dilemma should really stick to Fantasy Football cause you know nothing about the actual game!! He didn’t win the starting position…he was handed it because of Jimmy G’s contract and injury, he’s gonna be a good backup in this league but he’s definitely not a QB that any team would consider the foundation when building a SB team. He’s clearly a great guy and may become an even better QB in the future but this is a win now league and unless he makes a complete 180 degree turn from who he was last year he’s just not gonna be the guy.
I believe he is better than both Carr AND Minshew. Go back and watch his tape vs the Broncos, which was his final game of the season. You'll find that he had incredible growth. Is he a 5-star athlete? No. But he's good enough in the pocket; has solid footwork, keeps his eyes downfield, and most of all - he DOESN'T panic. With all of the weapons (and defense) the Raiders have at their disposal, expect for him to be exactly what this team needs to become a competitive team moving forward.
