I put my celiac, leaky gut, & chronic fatigue into full remission with AIP. I have also suffered from alopecia, anxiety and brain fog which I controlled through diet and lifestyle changes.
I started AIP in November 2015 and have learned so much on my journey that I want to share with you!
(I have since been able to reintroduce some nuts, seeds, seed- based spices, etc but I keep my RU-vid recipes 100% AIP elimination phase compliant!)
I do AIP without a dishwasher or oven (or microwave!) and on a tight budget with very little spare time.

No way! You're 42? I thought you were in your twenties. I have to say I really love your enthusiasm for life (and for cooking). I do not like to cook, but you still inspire me. Maybe someday I will like it (I'm 59 so I doubt, but you never know!) Also, I love how you show the details of all the steps and how you are in a small kitchen quite similar to mine. Makes it look even more doable for me. Thank you for doing these videos!

@@RealWorldAIP I thought you were in your early thirties. You look terrific. I have a super simple and really delicious red cabbage recipe that keeps for a week in the fridge if you'd like it. And there are all kinds of ways for you to vary it to change up the taste just a little.

I'm so glad that I stumbled across your channel this weekend. Listening to your health journey video made me feel less insane for the decade I've spent searching for answers! It's such a comfort to know there is hope for a cure even if I don't have an official diagnosis. Wow thanks for sharing your journey and story. I've learned alot. I'm a diabetic who enjoys cooking and experimenting with food always looking for more healthy delicious food choices. My daughter decided she wanted to try paleo to help with her feel better about her self and look better (completely her choice). And were all doing on it now and enjoying it. Been 3 weeks and the difference is great

I love your videos. Especially these meal prepping ones! They are so helpful and informative. I'm transitioning to AIP as I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's. Incorporating elements of keto and Wahls Protocol. How long did it take you to completely transition?

Thank you so much! :) I went gluten/soy/corn/tomato free back in 2001 and then when I learned about AIP in 2015 I cut out dairy and all the rest cold turkey. I looove the 9 c veggies a day on Wahl's, I still try to do that. Keto was a fail for me. Going very low carb is sometimes not good for thyroid, I haven't dived too deep into the science behind that, but it was mentioned in the AIP course. But everybody is different!

Loved this so much! I'm new it AIP and still trying to find my way. What kind of plates are those white ones that you can pop in the toaster oven?

I'm so glad this was helpful to you! I bought the square dishes at Wal-Mart years ago, but I recently replaced them with Corelle winter white bowls and plates because I learned more about how enamel glazed dishes from china can have lead and cadmium...Most plates should be okay in the toaster oven up to 400 or 450 degrees (I think)- there should be info on manufacturer website.

Hey! I absolutely adore your videos! I've failed at AIP before but your videos are really helping me! You're incredibly knowledgeable and so inspiring! 😃 I know you eat a lot of shellfish as it has so many nutrients, but as I can't eat shellfish, is there anything you'd recommend would be close in nutritional value that I could substitute daily? Thanks 😊

Thank you so much! 😊 Liver is a great source of B Vitamins and iron! Red meat is a great source of zinc. Also salmon and sardines for omega 3's and vit D ☺

Do u mix the solid at the top of the can into the coconut milk before u use it? Or do u scoop it off and use the milk liquid part only?

You make everything look so easy and effortless, yet I get anxious just watching all that. I don't know why but I always get anxious when I cook. Are you in an RV? I do not know how you do all that you do in that tiny kitchen with no stove or oven. It boggles my mind.

Lol, I might as well be in an RV😂 No, I'm just in my little old house😁 Following detailed recipes can make me anxious for sure, but chopping, slicing, sauteeing, etc are all calming to me! I think I do the same routine so much it's second nature and not much to think about. Either way, it does not require any talent- just practice!!☺

Janey Gomez The little freezer in thia video I bought from someone on Craigslist for $80. I finally had to replace it last week as my foods were thawing on their own in it! So I fixed the door on the one I got at Sears 12 years ago and I'm using that now :)

Most dieters are women, who get by eating just 1500 calories per day. People like me whose resting calories requirement is 2500kcal and adding 500calories for activity. Its difficult to get those many calories on AIP.. really have to stretch the budget and feel like stuffing myself whenever I eat that much.

trakba I eat about 2,200 calories a day. My groceries break down to about $20 a day but I could probably do it much cheaper. I buy only organic veggies and grass fed meat and wild fish...
