This is a workout where it's easy to look at the burpees and think "oh, it's just four of them." But after a few rounds, when those burpees start eating up 20-25 seconds of your 1-minute round, it doesn't leave much time for the barbell work. Max and Greg were pretty neck and neck all the way through, even though they broke the reps up differently. Max was flying on the front squats at the end and pulled away for a fast finish, then Greg mis-counted* and accidentally another full minute to his time.
*Actually, both athletes mis-counted at least once or twice during the workout. This is the kind of workout where it's helpful if you have someone else counting for you.

I started crossfit 6 weeks ago I tried this today with a 10kg olympic bar and x2 15kg discs either side so 40kg in total. This took me 29 mins to complete and I had to reduce the weight with the overhead squats. I was dead at the end, I've got a long way to go, but I love it

Totally! This is a tough WOD to keep your own count on. Every minute you're keeping track of the four burpees while trying not to lose track of your other movement count.

Jeremy Reither uh go as fast as possible and do all sets unbroken, little to no rest.. finish thrusters in first minute and also did 9 sdhp before burpees, finished the sdhp and started on pp in second minute, third minute I finished ohs and rested for 10 sec that's were I went wrong, I should've done a couple FS before the 4th minute of burpees, did 18 front squats before my legs couldn't push anymore so I fell backwards then had to do 4 more burpees on the 5th minute and finish with 2 FS.
