Flying this class of service from Paris CDG back to JFK in November 2015. It's comparable to Premium Economy class on Virgin Atlantic, so I am REALLY looking forward to it! 2020: the flight was GREAT! I sincerely enjoyed AF’s Premium Economy service in between CDG-JFK. My only complaint? That I had to disembark in NYC and switch to a Virgin America flight to go the rest of the way home from NYC-SF. I would have HAPPILY stayed on the A380 all the way back to the west coast in Premium Economy instead.
Erm... Virgin Atlantic does not have a first class. They have Upper class, which is their business class product. Secondly the Virgin Upper class offering is miles ahead of AF premium economy. Virgin UC has direct aisle access for all, lounge access and the 22 inch wide seat can be transformed to a 79 inch lie flat bed. How are these products even comparable???

I am very disappointed and concerned! Just booked PE on AF from de Gaulle to Atlanta. All bad comments and this video of a hard shell seat are making me anxious!! Checking price dif for business class.
The seats are not very comfortable at all.. the hard shell itself is ok.. provides privacy and doesn't interfere with the passenger behind, however the recline does not seem to be any more than in Economy. If your flight is a 787 then it should have the new cabin, which I am not familiar with. Have only used the old PE cabin and felt the seats in Economy would have been preferable. Am trying to find details about which sectors actually have the upgraded cabin before booking.
Horrible, just had my experience. Chairs are not confortable , staff are not friendly. Menu is like economy. We even had the same breakfast like economy class! Highly disappointed. The first time I traveled with premium it was in 2014 and it was better !! So many things have changed and it's shame. My point is if you can travel Buisness do it or else just stick to economy class. Premium is just a waste! Shame on AirFrance for reducing their services !!!!!!
