These are also a very special shoe for me. An ex gf gifted me a pair for Valentine’s Day and came to my job to deliver them to me. Still have them today although they are no where near as good condition. Talking about aging…I was two years out of high school when these dropped 😢

You can also wear the laces in a way that spells 17 in roman numerals (XVII) when you take off the shroud, great video Sean, I really hope Jordan brand bring these back someday soon!

I was 7 years old when these released. I'm glad the lightning lows are releasing this year.

I had these back in 2002..the black pair..I bought 2 pair of unc 17 lows...and u can not get the og versions without sole crumble...so I bought another pair of copper 17s used and did a sole swP on the Carolina lows..but I'm changing the blue upper trims to black...now I can actually wear them...its heartbreaking they haven't released them again.

Dam i need these to retro! I had them in 6th grade.... i ordered from champs.. came home from school n my package was waitin. I put them right on n went to park to shoot around.. good ol days.. now im 32 n barely wear my kix bcuz i have nowhere to go but work 😭

dude i have loaded jordan 17's special CD and play the music inside and listen you :D I puchased that 2002 price was really high as you said...only left that case and cd...and spare the lace cover and lace lock ...unfortunately the shoe's blue plastic and bottom cracked and the shoe itself has a different chemical reaction beacuse of time i had to throw it to garbage...i repurchase iconic jordan retro's except this one and i am looking forward to jordan release this 17 retro again...

My friends pooled together money and got my a pair for my 21st bday way back on the day. 200 was astronomical for a pair of shoes back then. I hooped so much in my pair that I eventually annihilated the air unit and tpu cover. But they were so great to ball in and had amazing traction

Fully agree that the 16 and 18 are superior in terms of looks. Not a horrible shoe by any means, but not easy to come by these days, we've only gotten three retros in the last decade, and one of those (the Trophy Room) tends to be pricey on the secondary market.

I wish they just re release like man it’s been long enough. My pair has cracked.

I love the 17s and the higher models a lot! But Jordan brand just wants to push out 1s,3s, and 4s. Which are all amazing but show love to the other models. Give me the 15s, 19s. And 21s.
