The Jordan 17 especially the college blue and lightning pairs was the fuckin shit when I was in middlec school. Them shits came out when I was in 7th Grade. I was hurt when they sold out, and my parents wouldnt get me them cuz they were too expensive. I think they were $200 or $240 somewhere in that price range. But if u lived in the NY area we had resller spots since the early 2000s and Niketown had a crazy stock so they took forever to sell out. I miss the days where I didnt have to do lines, that shit didnt start happening till 2006.
I remember these felt like ass on the court. Clunky, not responsive, foot slipped A LOT inside the shoe, poor traction. The outsole and mid foot plate made it feel stiff. Not a good shoe for actually playing basketball in.
I wouldn't say true to size. I would definitely go a half size up for comfort. The 17's tend to run narrow. If you grab pairs with the lace cover, definitely do a full size up.
