I work at Dicks Sporting goods, and we have our stock. The Jordan 5s should be easy to get. They are generally mass produced. Multiple size runs should be available in stores.
2000 was when they dropped. I remember it quite well. March 2000 and that pair was the very first retro I ever got. My older brother got them for my younger brother and me. Was the first time all 3 of us that had matching Js. Definitely my favorite 5s ever.

I just bought my second pair of these. This is my favorite sneaker of all time. I had the grapes and black tongue 5s in 1990 but I wore z friends black metallics alot.
I was able to buy one today at the Nike website. I'm surprised that it hasn't sold out yet knowing that i made the purchase like an hour after the scheduled time of release. No bots prevented me from buying this lol.
I want to buy 2 pairs! Damn you responsibilities. These mean a lot to me. This was my first pair of air Jordan's as a kid in the early 90s. I begged moms that whole year to buy me the fire red 4s. I didn't get the 4s but she did buy me those black metallic 5s. I didn't buy the first retro and then when I saw that 23 on the side of one of the next release I was over it, that detail killed it for me. these are still available online. Its 2 days after release day and I'm thinking that they might have made so many that that it will hit the outlets soon. Got 1 pair on release day, still debating on getting 2nd pair. The AJ4 cements were restocked several times after release in february, so these should be restocked also. Nike is doing a good thing by making so many of these. It makes it so we can depend less on resellers and scammers selling fakes. Hope these hit the outlets next month ! ! ! I would buy 3 more pairs !
It'd be dope if you added an on foot look at the end. Nice sneaker and nice video. I don't like that Jordan brand is adding an extra $30-40 for the more original Nike air, cause $180-190 is already pretty steep in my opinion. Love the shoes but pockets telling me Ima have to pass lol

I got a few pair of Air flight 89's myself. Those are actually a good shoe. It just depends what colorway you cop because they come out with some colorways that only deserve to be worn by a circus team. Glad you didn't bash them. They are even the reason why the Jordan 4 exists. Which is my favorite Jordan model of all other models. Salaam !

Remember back in 1999 when I worked at World Footlocker at Eastridge where I use to work in HS, they went on sale for $89.99 at one point along with the white and red pair :)
im really happy that adidas and under armour are doing good on the market and tilting the balance a little bit,giving pips like me a better chance at getting these...i hope they(JORDAN) lower the price soon to like $170-180....
willie broadnex Yup, the mids. I got them for $150 off eBay. They're a size 9 and I'm normally a 9.5 so I hope they fit. I couldn't pass it up at that price.
The way how i see it is if a person doesnt get it on release date. They shouldn't bother with the shoe anymore and just move onto the next one that is gonna end up releasing. Personally im not a fan of paying anything more then retail (unless its between 5-15$ which is almost never common with these ) mostly because the main shoes i'd want are being re-released. Theirs not much of a point if you can get it on release. Id say people are better off watching On- feet looks of the shoe to see if they like them or not before a shoe releases.
Nice look at the 2016 release man! I had the 1990 white/black/red (3M tongue) OG's in 11th grade (I'm a little older than you lol), but always wanted the black/metallics. Was thrilled to pick them up in 2000 (March 15, 2000 release date) and also got the 2007 release which were surprisingly nice, as well. I'm not a huge fan of the blue tinted soles on the 2016 retros, but it's not the end of the world to me. Hoping to be able to grab a pair this Saturday.
I believe your foot is becoming wider, because your arch is weakening. Considering how all bball shoes use arch supports, your natural foot's arch will weaken from not being actually used (as expected if you dont train a muscle). So its much like your feet are becoming flat
I can't decide if these are worth $220. I owned the OG White/fire red with 3M tongue way back in the early 90's. I really like these but again I'm not sure it is worth $220.
I was in the sixth or seventh grade when these originally released in 1990. I always thought they were so fucking cool, and I was super envious of everyone who had them, but I've never been able to get 'em. I technically have more than enough money to scoop them up now, if I really wanted to, but I just can't justify that much coin for a pair of sneakers. Maybe one of these days I'll say fuck it and throw away a few hundred bucks on a pair, but not just yet.
+BackseatJuice dude, in my opinion, adidas puts that AMAZING boost on a bunch of ugly silhouettes. The only shoe that looks good that they put boost on are the yeezys. But I sure as heck ain't going to drop $600 for yeezys.
Nah. I'll pass on these this time around. I remember when the fire red 5's (3m) retro'd back in '00, they came in the silver box & face box. Flight '89's are underrated classics.
