Wayne Beaver it works great 👍 you can use Plastic wrap with peat moss or coco peat works better. Let there be a nice amount of moisture in the pest moss or coco peat. Like this video can use many different ways. Tie up same way then at end put tinfoil around it. Can do this when weather starts to warm up. Look up my air layering Mulberry tree.

Railfan Rookie I have tried them! Very good related to Lychee! I know them as Spanish Lime
@RailfanNetwork
@RailfanNetwork 4 года назад
BlakesNaturelife They are usually end of summer in the states. They’re a staple in Puerto Rico and we have a friend in Key West with a tree. They’re sometimes referred to as Spanish Limes. A very similar fruit in the Philippines where real limes are scarce is the Calamante. Quenapas have a hard dark green/brownish rind and inside is a large pit with a pinkish tart fleshy fruit around it. Similar to a Lychee. Often referred to as Mamones (suckers.)

@BlakesNaturelife
@BlakesNaturelife 4 года назад
susan Markle That is such a good memory to have about your dad. Sounds like your dad was doing grafting. Where you connect different varieties onto one root stock. Some propagation is better for grafting where they take a desirable fruit scion and graft on a good root stock. Other propagation does good with cuttings and lastly is some plants propagate best with air layering. It just keeps the same genetics. :)

If you had peatmoss , would you mixed anything with it or use 100% peat moss ?
@BlakesNaturelife
@BlakesNaturelife 4 года назад
ivy and roses I would use 100% peat moss that has been sitting in water and I would squeeze most the water out but keeping it really moist. I put tinfoil over this to keep the moisture in better. I’ve also use Plastic wrap with pest moss same technique. Last using tinfoil as an extra way to keep moisture in.

So how’d it come out? Did the roots grow?
@BlakesNaturelife
@BlakesNaturelife 3 года назад
It made a root ball I didn’t get back into town five months later no one check up on it. It dried out. That August I took cuttings back with me and they do great from cuttings if the weather stays warm enough. If you living in a spot where it stays warm just do them from cuttings. It takes about a month to make roots. Just use some cocoa Peat or Peat Moss in Container well drain. You can just stick it straight in the ground In spot ya want it at. Last add Cinnamon at the end of cutting that helps with making the roots.

I have no idea what your trying to achieve ? Are you promoting root development before taking a cutting ? I’ve never seen this before 🤔
@BlakesNaturelife
@BlakesNaturelife 4 года назад
Roger Ramjet making new 🌱 with out cutting it off from the tree. It still feeds it till makes roots. By cutting off bark the way I did makes it start making roots. You can speed up process by using some rooting hormone.

Most definitely, I’ve tried bringing cuttings back in the winter months no luck for me in temperate climate. So I did airlayer so when I come back down south I will have it ready with roots to take back with me.

steve's growing space oh yes it is annoying! But it is what it is. Best to stay happy 😊 not fun when making video haha 😆 Do this in spring or summer when the plant has leafs will root fast. I did mulberry tree an took under a month. Some trees bush take 3 momths. Look up my mulberry tree air layering. You can use plastic wrap than bag. Both works great. Last can put tinfoil around it to help keep the soil moist. Yes works great on fig trees!
