Your video helped me decide to go with this product, and I watched it again when installing. Thanks a ton!

I just ordered this kit. It took you 8'23 per side. I'm no pro, so I'll say it going to take me 10'00 per side. Hell, I might just leave the truck running!

So there's no difference on parts or install if you have a 6" lift or not?
@SightFishin

Watching the video to remember how to take them off. They got a hole in them after 4 years. FYI if you are looking at buying them. Going with a longer term solution helper springs.

Are these to be used in conjunction to a lift in the rear (block or add a leaf) or can these be used as the lift for the rear? 2018 F150 setup for long term camping, leveling coil overs in the front, stock in rear. This isnt full time so when loaded about 600 lbs in the bed, about 250 when daily driving the truck.

So how does the ride control affect the off road abilities? Is there a noticable difference?
@CJBroncoF150
@CJBroncoF150 6 лет назад
It will make your off road experience more rough and bouncy because it stiffens up the suspension a little bit.
@bhshakari
@bhshakari 6 лет назад
is that the case even if you only have 5 psi in the bags (which is what Air Lift recommends even if you are not towing or hauling)? Also, how much suspension travel and articulation do you loose in the back end?
@dennisporter3498
@dennisporter3498 6 лет назад
bhshakari I went ahead and installed it on my Xterra. The travel and articulation are the main inpedences. The off road comfort didn't seem to change much. I don't do any rock crawling or extreme off roading outside of some hill climbing and camping and hunting trails and there has been little difference until you get into some real unlevel surfaces. The squat when towing and bottoming out have been fixed however.

Dennis Porter, thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that was going to be the case, I periodically go off road where travel and articulation make a big difference, and regularly where it’s not as bing if a necessity . I think for those trips, I’ll just remove the bags pre trip. I don’t do anything that I would consider extreme 4x4, my f150 only has a 2” lift, so I’m trying to find a balance that will give me more ability when off-road, and eliminating squat when towing or hauling. I thought about add a leaf but that alstroemerias stiffness the ride and is not as effective in squat control. It’s a tough balance Im trying to get.

What do you mean by, The travel and articulation are the main inpedences?

Where’s the compressor?

Sold separately. This kit is just filled via the lines routed to the rear bumper by a portable tank or compressor.

Will this fit a Raptor Gen 2?

Can you install a Tee fitting on the air lines and connect both lines to the tee so when adding or removing air you do so at one location so both air bags will be exactly the same at all times?

Yup!

@Motorcitymadman The line length wouldn't matter. It's the amount of air pressure rather than overall volume that is important. BTW, the airlift guys will answer any questions you might have. I sent them an email and they responded within a couple days.

At 3:35 you install the bracket. What sensor are you covering that is just above the bracket?

When threading in the air fitting do you need to put any teflon tape on the threads?

Yes

@Motorcitymadman Umm the ones I installed were not pre taped. That's why I said yes so people would make sure they were.

anybody rocking these on their truck? How do you like it?
@sny1168
@sny1168 4 года назад
Yes, like them. I carry a cross over tool box with about 500 lbs of tools in it. Also carry about 100 lbs of tools under back seat in my F-150 supercrew. I carry 15psi in these bags so as to level my pickup.

If I rarely tow or carry heavy loads, would I benefit from having this system on my 2018 F 150?
@CJBroncoF150
@CJBroncoF150 6 лет назад
If you do any amount of hauling or towing this will benefit you.

Thanks for the reply, I'm just concerned with all the components under there, and the possibility of leaks. What about a Timbren rear axle SES suspension, would that be enough for my needs? As I say, I rarely ever tow and the only thing my truck bed sees sometimes is drywall or lumber, not enormous amounts of weight back there very often. I wonder if a Timbren will be enough for my needs and do basically the same thing as an AirLift without all the components to worry about failing over time?
@CJBroncoF150
@CJBroncoF150 6 лет назад
You would not want this filled with air while you're not towing. You would only fill them when you tow, and the system is sealed well, I highly doubt you would have any leaks. With that being said, from what you are saying the Timbrens are probably the better choice for you.
@bhshakari
@bhshakari 6 лет назад
per manufacture specifications, you need to have it at 5psi when you're "not using them". I have these and love them, but based on what you have said here, I would save my money if I where you. Just my 2 cents

Does it affect normal riding?
@CJBroncoF150
@CJBroncoF150 6 лет назад
It will make normal driving just a tiny bit stiffer, but it's practically not noticeable.

I've had them on my 2018 F150 that is running front and rear HALO lift suspension, and notice zero decreased ride quality.

Will this work in a 3/5 drop?
@superchimer1442
@superchimer1442 5 лет назад
Matthewg3455 that’s what I’m going to try and adapt it to. I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to manipulate some components to get them to fit if you’re somewhat mechanical minded.
