Air traffic on TCAS display and real cockpit view fly-by's: www.aviafilms.com/videos-of-pl...
AIR TRAFFIC VIDEOS: www.aviafilms.com/air-traffic-...
In this video you can see the Boeing 737 cockpit navigation display and the TCAS (traffic collision avoidance system) information it provides to the pilots. You can see various traffic returns at different altitudes. Next we will show you some real cockpit view air traffic fly-by's as seen by the flight crew during their daily work. You can see airline traffic passing both above and below as well as two airplanes with crossing flight paths avoiding each other thanks to RVSM. We hope our cockpit and air traffic video fans will enjoy this contribution.

This video really makes you appreciate the TCAS system, I mean it could be partly due to watching it on a screen instead of in real life, but man it is hard to gauge distance, speed, direction and separation of other aircraft!

You don’t realise how close planes are in the air even with the legal safety separation requirement ! Great little video

No, that's Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) which between FLT290 and FLT410 is 1,000 feet between planes traveling in opposite directions, ie. FLT320 for westbound and FLT330 for eastbound.

00:45 that was not 1000 feet of separation.

If I am not wrong, in RVSM, 1000' separation is not required. I don't remember how many feet of separation is allowed in these conditions.
