Thanks for making this video! I'm not paying the car dealership over $100 plus labor to replace that airbag switch when I can do this instead. These things always seem to happen as soon as the warranty expires.
Code 27 fixed -ford ranger 2002. Ford asked $240 for the airbag switch box. I bought 2 bulbs for $5.95 from Walmart(long life bulb 74) and went to a mobile repair shop to replace the bulb. It took 1 minute and the guy told me I do not need to pay anything but I gave him $10. All fixed around $13.50. Thanks
Hello Usman, it’s been a while. How have you been? So did that fix the problem? If you said it did, I missed it somehow. I watched the whole video, but not sure if that fixed it. I have the same code 27 in my 99 Mazda b2500. Also, I have no power at my dlc on pin 16. Not sure if the problems are related. When I put my tesl light on 16 on my Breakout box, it actually shows a ground instead of battery voltage. I can’t connect my Autel. On the wiring diagrams on all data DIY it shows the DLC goes to the air bag diagnostic module. Since I have code 27, I’m thinking, maybe the passenger side airbag deactivation switch is somehow pulling my data link connector pin 16 to ground. Only I cannot find, the airbag diagnostic module. Alldata just says right side of dash. I’m afraid it’s behind or above the airbag, so I might have to take the whole dash off to find it. I need to be able to test the wires coming off of it. Any chance you know where that lives in the dash? Anyway, I just wanted to know if that bulb worked for you. Thanks my friend.
@@Usmanthemecano hey buddy. Unfortunately I messed up the little strip that runs to the spot where the bulb gets soldered. It was completely my fault. I was in a rush and couldn’t really see what I was doing. As much as I hate to admit it, I think I definitely need glasses for seeing small things up close. Anyway, I ordered a few rolls. (different sizes) of that adhesive conductive strip. I’m not sure what that stuff is called. I ordered that and finally got one of those holders, that has alligator clips that hold on to whatever you are soldering. This one also has, a nice size magnifying glass (with two small ones to zoom in even more) and a light. Now I just need to sit down and clean it all up and start over on it. Thanks for asking though buddy. I’ll let you know when I get it done, How it turns out.
