AirPods 3 Review! Better Than AirPods Pro? 

Huge drops today from Brian, loving it!

I didn’t think I’d need the noise cancellation of AirPods Pro, but when I got them, it was a HUGE deal. I commute on foot through traffic for at least 30 minutes every day. That’s a lot of time with music which was previously interrupted by loud cars and trucks flying by. I can’t go back, not even for MagSafe. 😭

Of all the AirPods 3 reviews that dropped, i went for yours first! Loving how comprehensive and detailed you are with your reviews! No swooning, straight to the point!

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ru-vid.comUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I’ve had the air pods 3 for about a week now and I can say they’re 100% worth it. Audio always sounds fantastic, and I was extremely surprised by the spacial audio feature. The force touch is super convenient and makes listening to music and movie so much better. Personally I was not at all a fan of the pros ear tips, and so these were the perfect alternative and for a cheaper price.

that is what I call review. no overreact no all negativity just pros and cons. I have gen 2. but I wanted to experience spatial audio and head tracking. Never liked ear tips. Or needed anc so I'm waiting for gen 3 to be available in my region. Thanks for review!!

Pros are 189 on amazon right now and i just got them for 199 a few days ago fron target with the new magsafe case! So i just couldn’t justify buying the 3’s when pros were only 20 dollars more, or ten if you take advantage of amazon right now before that ends. Targets deal ended on Wednesday I think. Especially since i have a hard time keeping earphones without silicone tips in. Great video though i do think the 3’s are awesome and was on the fence until i found those deals. Right day to order i guess lol. Keep up the great work! Thanks

For anyone who finds the AirPods Pro silicone tips uncomfortable, there are alternative tips you can buy online, I think foam tips are more comfortable and they provide a great seal and fit for the best noise canceling

Mine arrive tomorrow! lost my AirPods 2nd gen back in April and I've been holding off since then. I hate in-ear tips so the Pro's were not even a consideration for me :)

I’ve had AirPods Pro for 6 months now. The Cons: 1. No volume control tap function on them). 2. Personally, they fall of easier on me compared to the previous AirPods. Although that’s a personal thing and they do come w/3 diff. Size of rubber attachments. 3. You can’t use “find my AirPods” for the case (not sure if this is the same w/any other AirPods). Only useful for the AirPods themselves when they’re out of the case. Pros: 1. Amazing noise cancellation (I work at a football stadium and it’s super loud there. The noise cancellation is really good and totally worth it. 2). The sound is really good and you also have transparency mode, which is also amazing. Special audio is also really great if you’re watching or listening to a compatible music or movie. 3). Voice/Bluetooth is great.

My friend this may be your best review ever, so much so the I purchase the new 3s after returning the pro’s because of ear fatigue. My upgrade is from version 1’s WOW, everything about your review is spot on, this is the best $179 I have ever spent on any Apple product. Keep up the great work. 👍🏽

I’ve had the original AirPods and the AirPods Pro, and never seen the the behavior you described with it playing in your pocket. Are they in the case, or just loose in there? I always put mine back in the case.

I had the Gen3 for three weeks. I absolutely loved the sound quality, phone quality, clarity; however, I just contacted Apple for Return. Why? Because they literally made my ears sore. I’m talking sore to the touch where the AirPods touched my ears. I am a medical transcriptionist of 24-years. I have used my Gen2 for work with absolutely no issues. I was, however, looking forward to the longer charge time so I jumped on the Gen3 as soon as they hit. So, for me, it looks like I’m sticking with Gen2 for the long run. I may even be ordering another pair of Gen2 for backup in the near future.

Piqued my interest. I want headphones I can use at the gym; my over-ear Sennheisers sound great but are heavy, and don’t deal with sweat too well. This whole time I thought all Airpods were in-ear with those silicon bits, which I find really, uh, _invasive…_ so if the literal fit is okay, these could be ideal. 🤞🏾

AirPods 3 feel like they’re sitting right outside of your ear hole. It was weird at first but now I find them extremely comfortable. The AirPods Pro’s would make my ear hurt after a bit and I don’t have that problem with these anymore. I also prefer that I can hear everything around me naturally and not through transparency mode which is alright at best.

Great review and looking forward to getting mine. I’m concerned about the fit though, I have small ears and the wired buds never fit right, I tried knock off AirPods that never fit right, well see how these go in a day I guess.

B, I could hear the difference even on my iPad Air 3 speakers! I hope they fit me. Have had NO luck with ANY in ear buds.

Technology is always moving forward, and even though my Beats Flex Wireless Earbuds do the job for me while I am out on my walks I wish I had waited another six months for these. Thing is my Beats Flex Wireless Earbuds other than not having the bass I was expecting do a great job.

I’m seriously amazed at the difference with the audio quality with the mic on the 3rd gen. !

MagSafe is just Qi with magnets. The AirPods Pro also charge with MagSafe charger…they just don’t stick to it. I use it all the time to charge.

ANC isn‘t doing its job anymore after using my AirPods Pro daily since release day. It‘s so weak that I have it turned off for a few months now. So, I might simply switch back to the new normal AirPods, less parts and less features to worry about. Hope the new bass is not TOO strong, since I always loved about my AirPods and Pros how balanced they were.

I want to buy another pair because honestly, I could easily live with these in my ears. It’s easy to mute the sound when you need to talk to someone (although I prefer the take the bud out when you’re in person approach.) I already have 3 other pairs of AirPods from over the years but I don’t even want to use my sketchy Pros after using the 3rd gen, let alone the 1st and 2nd which still bother my ears after a few hours. 3rd gen knocked it out of the park. The only way up is longer battery life. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted.

This makes me excited to see AirPod's Pro 2 next year! (I hope) Love the Pro's!

Pre ordered from costco last week and get them tomorrow. Hopefully they dont fall out of my ears while running as that will be main use case for me. My bose soundsports and frees work well for me but old and want to test these

Cool! Nice vid! Just got mine this morning. To be honest, I prefer the fit of the AirPods 2. These feel like they could possibly fall out of my right ear.

Bought them yesterday. Never had any AirPods. Could of got the AirPods Pro for £188 in the shop but the assistant said the new 3rd gen were the better offer. Not disappointed, very comfortable fit

I loved how pros sounded and felt in my ear but they would always start slipping, glad to hear these sound nearly just as good if not better, I can deal without ANC I listen to my music super loud anyways

Turn on spatial stereo and set the Apple Music eq to flat. Noise cancelling is very fatiguing and makes the sound stage extremely narrow. This is why I returned my Pros when they first came out

These look great! Right now my Bose Soundsports are still alive after 2 years but when it comes time to replace them I’m gonna give these a fair shake. Do you know the difference between adaptive EQ and volume optimized EQ? I also have the QC35 II headphones and they have the volume optimized feature.

I prefer the pro design; I don't find that earbud style uncomfortable, unless the included swappable tips options are really, really poor. The non-Pro don't breed confidence - I'm always feeling like they'll plop out & hit the hard pavement.

I have a question, so I currently have the pros but they are kinda broken in some ways and are kinda uncomfortable for my ears. Is it worth getting the AirPods 3 or sticking with what I have?

The joints of the earphones housing after sometime will turned black full of dirt that’s why black colour is the best option for earphones. I have airpod 2, taotronics liberty 92 and Jbl tws 225. Airpod is good for phone call but for music Jbl is perfect, bass and treble is good

I bought a pair a day after they came out cause my old ones (1st gen) are dying. They really do sound better than the original. I have to get used to the tighter fit thou.

These are temping to get especially with the battery life price and ip rating but the anc transparency mode and silicone tips just do it for me I’ll keep my pros

When I got a replacement pair of AirPods Pro (My old pair got smeared in ketchup and dropped onto rough concrete), I completely forgot that they had MagSafe since they look identical to the older version

$150 everywhere. Bought 3 pair for the family. I’ve been using mine for several days now and they are a worthy upgrade to version two. I had returned my pros because they weren’t good enough and I do not like an ear monitor type headphones. No matter what I could not achieve a seal with The silicone tips so bass was always lacking and I did not want to use Comply foam.

Never used nose canceling unless on a plane. Even then I would use my BOSE headphones not AirPods. I couldn’t stand the swappable ear tips on the pro’s. I can’t wait til I get these.

1:35 you said that the water resistant of (IPX4) exclusively to the 3rd generation AirPods. According to the AirPods Pro Tech Specs, the Pro AirPods also has water resistance of (IPX4) as well. Also, they must have updated the case for the AirPods Pro to because it also has MagSafe charging.

The 3’s are great .. I couldn’t get used to the fit of the pro’s in my ear … now I only use my pros when I’m charging my airpod 3’s lol

Considering I paid less for my pros, I’ll stick with those. I need the ear shape of the pros as the regulars hurt my ears.

Man for some reason I am really tempted for these gen 3's but I tried the gen 2 and Earpods and I don't like the fit much. It slips easily and hurts a part of my right ear. My gut feeling is telling me to go for the 3rd gen but I'm worried I will hate the fit.

I just got the Pros, so no need. But let’s be honest, for me, the pair for these is a problem for both my Pros and 2nd gen Airpods. Every firmware is updated(10/28/21). Maybe it’s RU-vid’s app, but sometimes the pairing doesn’t work and I don’t hear sound after a while. With that, it’s a no for these.

I like the sound quality when it comes to bass over the pros but 👂 fit I like the pros in my opinion.
