Also the lanyard spot isn’t just for lanyards. In other countries besides America, people love charms. Especially in Asian markets. Now they can add charms and personalize their AirPods Pro.
Reason why I don’t like to watch your videos is cos there’s a lot of jumbo that doesn’t relate to the topic. But just me personally. Still a great channel
That's so dumb! I live in Asia and people don't put charms on everything. Puting it on a case will be horrible! It'll make it bulkier and harder to use. Why would you even want to personalize a case out of sight 99% of the time? I'm just lost. Clearly a fanboy trying to hype up everything Apple.
We already knew this would be a feature. Since the first iOS 16 Beta, when you went to the new AirPods settings, the case’s battery percentage was always displayed there. Even without the AirPods in them.
Liu is pretty late. The AirPods Pro case already had the ability to transmit its battery status. The 1.5-Gen brought the ability to charge with the iPhone’s MagSafe charger while being magnetically attached to it. & now the new versions can use the Watch charger as well.
I honestly don't know what he's fully talking abt in this video, but I think it's the fact that the AirPods Pro 2 will now able to show the battery percentage permanently in the battery widgets, unlike before. Idk if that's the case for the 1.5-Gen tho cuz I have the 1st Gen on me. Whenever I open my case with my AirPods inside it, it shows the case's battery percentage for like a minute or 2 and then vanishes from the battery widgets, but when I open the case without the AirPods in it, it doesn't show up in my phone whatsoever. Maybe the 2nd Gen constantly shows you the case's battery life by itself without the need of putting your AirPods in it.
You couldn’t use the watch charger before, that is new added functionality. Also, the battery only showed on the widgets when the case was open before. Now you can check when it is still in your pocket or on the charger.
What he’s saying that you can see the charge of both the case and AirPods when the airpods are out of the case and they didn’t do that before. If you took the AirPods out the battery status would only show for the AirPods and not the case. You would only see the charge status of the case when the AirPods were in the case.
While I agree on the aesthetics of the case not being as clean, it’s again where Apple - like many recent releases - has put function back as a priority over form. Too long they were making products suck to keep form a priority
@@taylordarion3477 or waterproofing, which would be function. I’m a dual sim user and was pleasantly surprised how easily the 14 pro max moved both my numbers over. A few years ago setting them up on my 12 pro was a total cluster.
I don’t know if I should buy them I have the original air pods and they somewhat hurt my ears. Are the air pods pro 2 more comfortable to wear? Is it worth the money to upgrade I don’t know cause the AirPods that I have is uncomfortable, so I don’t wear them.
I am constantly trying to figure out what the case is on. I open it put the headphones in and close it. By the time I do that the case battery comes up and then I close it on accident so now I got to put the AirPods back in the case wait about 10-20 seconds take them out put them in my ear and hopefully the AirPods case pops back up on my screen and if not I sometimes put them on the charger to force my phone to tell me what percentage they on well that little circle that shows if they .5 or full or dead but either way it goes it’s to much work and I’m so glad Apple did this. Now they put I can give my dad these AirPods and then go get the new ones
@@stefanospap6288 is it really an instant dude? come on don't overplay it. It's not as far as I remember it. How many hoops do you have to go through to get that image on your desktop ?
@@Katatonya Pretty much instant if your phone isn't laggy :P. Haven't you tried it yourself? Maybe your android device is running on old os? It's up to you if you want to minimize the steps you have to take to upload and share your files since there are many ways around it. You could even use nearby share. I am not missing out on anything whatsoever by not having airdrop. In fact, my options are unlimited with android, while the Apple's ecosystem is putting boundaries on everything I want to do.
@@definitely_ yes i was had the same thoughts before. there are cases for it, where it is closed, and it has the lanyard support, but the cases are just too bulky for me, which imo kinda of kills the idea of having a small case. Also, idk, maybe i havent looked for some specifically but imo, non of them looked good.
AirPods Pro 1 does the same with showing the battery charger with the new update. And AirPods Pro 1 also does the customized spatial audio with the new update. Noise cancellation is even better on the AirPods Pro 1 with $20 foam tips from Amazon. I had the second gen in my right ear and first gen with a foam tip on it in my left ear yesterday with noise cancellation turned on in both and the seal of the foam tip makes it’s 5x quieter than the second gen.
I think what the video was trying to get at was the fact that the airpods and the case would disappear once you have closed the case. Usually you would have to open the case to see the percentage. But what i assume with this is that you won’t need to do that anymore to see the battery percentage and it will always stay there
Long time Apple user. Don’t see myself changing ecosystems…. Now, the complaint. I hate how AirPods Pro don’t fit in the ear - they fall out, fall out bad when I chew. Tried all size ear things, but they are just horrible
he's right. there's no point in the lanyard. and the asymmetrical holes on the bottom of iPhones (and now APP2s) is pointless. That said, on a functional level, I will actually use a lot of these new features
Hmm I disagree, I can attach the lanyard and case to my bag (on the inside) so I don’t have to carry it around in my pocket. Oh and also I need to convince myself the $12 was worth it 😂
Yeah I have to agree about the lanyard thing… most people just want a case to prevent scratches and damages to the AirPods case. It feels like a secret way to get you to damage your case and upgrade faster tbh… that said, I already have the second gens tho 😂

What I wanted to know is how do the AirPods Pro 2 work with the previous iPhones without the h2 chip. What do we lose in terms of functionality & what about sound quality.
I think it’s time to stop bashing iPhone and just review it. Your my favorite tech reviewer and I hate to have to go to another channel to get my iPhone reviews
@@Angel-yf7pp yeah airpods pros cost 60 usd and give all these features...... Why would one care for these features with a budget of 50-60 $? It's like comparing a bugati to a Honda civic saying does civic has exotic design and 2000 HP engine going with top speed above 400 KM/hr? No then civic is bad.
@@wifine1951 I was kinda being ironic. Totally get you. What I think is going to happen is having Magsafe and Apple Watch chargers with both USB-C tip and by doing that, Apple still retain the "no universal charger" while complying with EU standards (or so I think). They already removed the SIM tray, I'm guessing it's no stretch to remove the charging hole. So, those magsafe duo chargers would be selling like popcorns. Just pure speculation here! For those that having macbook, apple watch, airpods, iphone, there's the possibility they might have about 4 different chargers (magsafe for macbook, USB-A/lightning for airpods, USB-C/lightning for iphone, plus watch specific). Makes. absolutely no sense.
Apple’s ‘’eco system’’ it’s not apples fault Samsung and other companies don’t make great products and make them all work together like Apple does. They need to step up. Atleast Apple has one and remember he put this video together with a Mac and continues to make vids about Apple products even tho all the other companies make better stuff and they don’t want your money. Haha buy what you want not what RU-vid tells you cuz remember the video they all got iPhones in their pockets.
This is not a new thing in phones...just iPhones. I have been able to see the status of each ear bud and charging case on my Pixel 6 battery widget for a bit. It's cool that Apple is adding this feature. But they seem to be building this up like it's a feature that's never been done before.
@@TechWithShon no? I’m an apple user and I’m pissed. My sister has the Galaxy buds and her Gen 1 buds come with software updates and gave her these features. Meanwhile i have to spend another $300 just for software features.
