I had my backpack stolen when I was in college. I think this will be my go-to gift for grads heading off to college.

This video kinda makes me wanna get an Airtag for my backpack. Also, this is definitely the best Airtag video I've watched.

They are definitely worth it, I put an AirTag in the pocket of one of my expensive designer jackets incase it was ever stolen. It was stolen from my workplace one day and I was able to track it down to a guy waiting for the bus to get away.

My sister and I got one of these and hanged it up on the highest point of our house and it NEVER even turned on or tracked us. My dad got so pissed cause he spended his own money on it for us. He literally lost his hands in a lawn mower accident 2 years ago… no joke, and his job was being one of those guys that translates English into sign language so he’s canned. Now he’s pissed all the time cause the fake fingers on his new hands look like frickin hotdogs. They’re so long and stinky. So he bought this crap gadget for us but now we’re just as crappy as we were before having it.

I think air tags may have a big flaw... if someone steels your tagged item and disappears with it then you can trace it right, as in the video. But what if the thief has their own iPhone? Surely it would notify them and then beep to tell them the stolen item is tagged?

Letting a thief keep your stuff is not a good idea......

So he gives the proven thief the backpack and lets him walk away Scott free with no repercussions so he can continue doing his criminal activities.. 🤦🏽‍♂️

This video was well done, both informative and entertaining. However, please be careful, I was so nervous for you. I had a machete and he was convinced that you were someone else or closely related to that person. Suppose that person owed him money or took his girl? I just wanted you to drive off and put on the seatbelt after you were a safe distance away.

You are lucky ,,,, I can’t find one AirTag which felt off my cat, for me this AirTags are a waste of money, my cat fight another cat of mine here at my house, but it says the colllar is 2 houses away, I follow the directions, I arrive there, AirTag is unavailable to connect, so the “find and sound” is useless, I don’t understand this all the RU-vidrs find the AirTags

Really well put together video , but ,,,,,, as usual with ALL of the air tag videos i have watched the single most important thing , outside of locating your lost or stolen item is WHO is going to attempt to retrieve the item once it is located . Most likely NOT the police , so that leaves The owner. You have honestly stated that you are not confrontational as are most people . However very little if any consideration is given to the actual re-acquiring of the item . Its one thing to be enthusiastic about Air Tags locating your item in the digital world but another thing entirely to take it back in the REAL world , with real world consequences . Most channels that i commented on said," yes you're right " and that was it , meaning people are buying Air Tags because they are cool but remaining in denial about the most difficult aspect , which is the get the item back without being hurt .

They don't do live tracking. If someone is driving away with it, you won't find that backpack until they've stopped for 15 minutes or more.

Love it! My back pack has important meds that are Temp sensitive. It is the first thing I tagged. I accidentally left it in an airport 2 weeks ago for an hour and luckily recovered it right away. This lead me to getting the air tags last week. Very good to know this works.

are we able to look up and find where our stolen item is without enableing LOST mode which would activate the alarm/ audio? IOTW just simply looking at Find My Phone App and seeing where it currently is? I think the answer is yes, but here is the problem. Ive noticed that the Air tags are very slow at updating locations... so to speed that process up, we enable LOST mode, and it updates quickly which is good, but then the speaker I guess activates a sound giving the thieves a heads up there is an Airtag on or hidden inside the stolen (or lost) item which could encourage them to start looking for the hidden airtag...What is the work around that? Yes we can simply remove the speaker but then there maybe a situation where we really want to take advantage of the speaker feature...hummm I guess for a stolen car we need to remove the speaker... I guess it depends on what the item is... I have a $6,000 Telephoto lens with an airtag in the case.. I would NOT want the sound to go off if that was stolen out of my car. A thief would start ssearching and then possibly destroy it if found and kill my search efforts......

I am pretty sure airtags have a feature where if someone's else airtag is near you for too long it notifies you bcs that person might be tracking you. Could the same thing happen in a situation like that? Where someone stole smth thats your and then they get notified and throw the tag away?

I am new to the Apple ecosystem since I just switched to iOS in March and purchased an iPhone 12 but yesterday, I purchased a couple of Air Tags. These Air Tags would work absolutely perfectly for those travelling and need to keep track of luggage. That's my worst fear is the airline losing my luggage. The only thing I didn't like is, Apple didn't put a key chain in there I had to get them on Amazon but it is what it is.

I bought a bunch of these, aside from the ordinary keys, wallet, and such, I installed one inside my laptop, in my vehicle, in a tool bucket, behind a plastic panel in an expensive welder, and some other stuff I think people might steal over time. They are small enough to glue or velcro inside of plastic tool cases and such. I have not had to do this yet, but there will be additional cost in battery replacement when the time comes I would guess, but it is nice to be able to see where your stuff is at.

😡I don’t have an airtag but I was really really really irritated upset and scared when I rec’d a message on my iPhone that an airtag was with me!!! I find this very very upsetting!!! I don’t trust any of this mess! 😡 I don’t care what anyone says…getting an unwanted message on “my” iPhone about someone else’s airtag is concerning to me…someone somewhere is tracking me! 😡

It’s a cool idea but if somone knows what these tags are they can simply just remove it and take the backpack with all of its stuff If the person has an iPhone they will know it’s a lost bag and can find exactly where in the bag that the tag is and simply remove it

I just got an AirTag, because I want to track my bike. And I have watched every single video to try and understand what I am doing wrong, but once my AirTag gets past 30 feet away from me it stops tracking. Can someone please help? I swear I’ve done everything under the sun, and I’ve watched like 20 videos, my location is on in every form possible, I even reset the AirTag and my phone and it still didn’t work. After 30 feet it says it’s too far and won’t track anymore.
