I LOVE IT! Perfect response! I’m a mom bc of adoption. I was severely CSA as a child and had to have an emergency hysterectomy to save my life once swat rescued me. I would NEVER have even suggested to be in the room bc that’s so personal. If the birth mom’s invited me I might, but it’s such an intimate thing. Same if my kids or kids in law wanted to invite me or not. I have been there for friends before so I’ve seen it and it isn’t glamorous at all. It’s dirty hard work and sacred, imho. It’s THE most intimate thing you could possibly do. So stand your ground to what you feel comfortable with. It’s YOUR body and you get to choose who you want to be there.

Mother in law is a pushy boundary crossing woman. If the wife is the problem then why did all 3 of the MIL daughters not let her even near them when they had their babies? Wife doesn’t want someone who already has pointed out she does not like her in the damn delivery room.

@@MrTable678 giving birth is not a spectator sport. It is a medical procedure that the mother baby can literally die from. Idk what standards you are talking about but the only person allowed the courtesy of seeing the baby be born is the father. And again it’s a courtesy, not a right. Op didn’t have to let anyone in the room with her except the doctors. If you think otherwise, you should check your entitlement.
