RBS15 can be launched from fighters, ships or trucks. Usually two RBS15 missiles are launched at larger targets so they can strike from two sides simultaneously. MK4 has added land strike capability as well.

It seems like landing on the moon is a more simple task than firing these anti ship missiles. This makes GBU deployment seem like a 1 button operation...

Pretty sure STD overwrites the 800002 code and goes for large area search iirc. Use VALB when using TAKT codes :]

This missile worked for me a year ago. After the latest update to the Viggen it does not work as before. (posted on bugs section in forum) The xxJohnsxx video for advanced use, does not function as before (try to duplicate it?). The missile wont arm at M2, Bx6, Bx7 and Bx9 dont show after pre programming from mission editor. Using the radar detection method and locking Bx8 on to ships does not produce Bx6/Bx7 waypoints and the missile wont arm. So, I dont know what they did in the update, but its messed up my use of this missile. The older RB4 is still ok. When they eventually get the Harpoon developed for the Hornet (still in beta), we may have a decent anti ship weapon!

I don’t think u have to adjust the Bx7 point, since the missile/robot have such long reach, the meaning of offset of Bx7 is to confuse the ship crew of the intended target, setting Bx8 automatically gives av Bx7 with offset left or right to target.

i am trying to do this and i seem to fail at it. i have no idea what i am doing wrong. could you guys do a deep dive in the radar and how one use it to set up waypoints such as B M and BX waypoints. i realy struggle with it.

The missile don't go to bx6, it's going directly to bx7. bx6 just represent the distance from bx7 where it go down to the sea level.

these guys have so overcomplicated using this missile, I'm sure they're just fucking with cap. Fly the viggen as you normally would with or without navigation waypoints, they don't matter, neither do target points. Use radar to find your ships. Once found select [bx], [8]. Adjust the bx8 point over the ship with [t1], slew and [tv]. Adjust bx7 the same way and place it in and arbitrary location between you and the target. don't worry about bx6. Fire when in range.

if you are going against ships you can do the quick release method which is literally zero work. See the ships, wait to be in range, shoot in their direction and wait for impact.

Chuck's guides are so much better than the other manuals - for most players anyway. The developers (ED and 3rd party), really need to work on accessibility and usability. They'd shift many more units, lots more. I'm not advocating simplifying the sim here, just saying investing in a less anal version of the manual, is a good idea.

88 are not implemented for now. Maybe you'll have a nice overview with BMS videos on the AGM-88 before it came to DCS. Even if the F-16 avionics is different, general principle should stay the same.
