The stuff below the CK 37 data panel is the Rb05 joystick, but it is not interactive, you need to bind keys/buttons for it.

The "SPA" mode one the master mode selector stands for the Swedish word "spaning" witch basically means spying :)

06:40 from my experience in passive mode the radar will show from which direction you are being painted. In other words you can see where radar emitting targets might be lurking, or in which direction SAM sites might be etc. Try Passive mode plus A1 on a flight with multiple radar using targets.

My experience, which I admit is limited, is that it only shows enemy radar jamming signals. If I fly towards a enemy carrier with radar in A1, I will most times receive jamming signals which shows as black lines from me to the ship on the radar. If I then switch to A0 with passive mode enabled the jamming signals still shows. However tracking and search radar don't show even when RWR is receiving. Not even from a other viggen which should be on the same frequency. But I would love to learn more.

In general and commercial aviation, DME stands for distance messuring equipment, a piece of equipment often colocated with VOR, ILS and even NDB stations, which allow the pilot to see the distance from the nav aid.

If DME is the same as commercial aviation, it means Distance Measuring Equipment, which essentially measures distance between the aircraft and the radio beacon, typically alongside VOR. It's regulation in some countries that all aircraft have one fitted for IFR.

Hi, a couple of notes from a swe(altought not a very experienced dcs player tho i have some): The generally decent amount of enviromental controlls is partly becouse how much the temperature and climate can vary here in sweden. 25:40 SPA refers to Spaning which in swedish means Recon if im not mistaken. As ofcourse the AJS stands for(in swedish) Attack, Hunting(litterly)Fighter(Proper english term) and Recon 25:47 If i rember corecctly the "training" missions for landing the viggen says to use PIO. If its with or without the Automatiskfartkontroll I dont know :)

Seeing the Viggen cockpit from Cap's point of view always makes him seem like a very short person. The HUD reflector glass position switch would probably make more sense to him if his POV was at normal height, which would probably be with the seat adjusted all the way up. But I'm not going to tell you how to fly. You do what is comfortable and works for you.

In my experience the Viggen's default head height is really low and quite far back, every time I load her up I have to move the camera up and forwards just to be able to see the HUD and cockpit controls properly.

CAP QFE AND QNH REFER TO WHAT 0 IS SET FOR. QFE YOU SET THE RUNWAY TO 0 WHEREAS QNH YOU SET THE RUNWAYS ELEVATION ABOVE SEA LEVEL INSTEAD OF 0

@ Grim Reapers I just bought the AJS37 Viggen last night to add to my growing collection. While flying, it wants to roll to the left. It takes almost all right trim to level it out. Is this normal for the Viggen ? Or am I doing something wrong ?
