That would would Sam Cooke who was Al's influence. I love Al Green but too many people sleep on how great Sam Cooke was and limit him to one song. Listen to Sam and you will see why all Soul singers loved him so much. But I do agree with you Al was great and owned the early 70's soul.

Let's stay together is the tune in pulp fiction by Al but excellent memory! He's so good, the bands so good. Just absolute perfection when they recorded live on tape so you had to be good, and the expression was authentic. Beautiful job Mark

Ah yes...the Reverend! He's had so many. "Call Me" "Lets Stay Together", "I'm Still In LOve With YOu" just to name a few. You should take a dive into the psychedelic 60's. Iron Butterfly "Soul Experience" and "The Time Of Our Lives" so damn good . Talk about a trip! Great reaction!

I am rewatching this again and I shared it with my friends again, because if you don't feel Like this when you listen to music you Better get your soul checked which another reactor named O k skeez says. He is off the charts also similar to you but you guys are different and oh my God aI just love you honestly. It's such a pleasure to see someone enjoy Al Green. The way I have been enjoying Al Green for 50 years almost?. Listening to his voice still still brings me joy and sometimes Goosebumps depending on the song and his lives are to die for. ❤❤❤❤ I am not sure if you know who Jennifer Hudson is. I was not a fan until she sang a song of his in tribute to him winning an award. I can't remember the title cause. Here is a song that will literally blow your mind by a man who Billboard magazine says is the most successful solo artist of all time in the USA! The song is by the great Elton John and comes from one of his early albums in the early 1970's. The song is called Come Down In Time and I assure you it is a stone cold masterpiece! Sorry I am buzzed And I had to share this story with you. This cover reminded me of When I was in college I had a party And got Very drunk and so did my friend. I was so hung over the next day I spent All day flipping this album over and just let it play and play because it was record players in those days. My girlfriend Barb was at her house and. We would call each other all day and she was playing the same album. Al Green has gotten Me through Some tough time. I still listen To him regularly. Check out living for you 1973.
