Alamogordo, NM to Cloudcroft... Up the Mountain 7/31/2014 

Rode this so many times!! It was my favorite ride in the entire area. The dramatic change from the desert bottom, to the top is startling.

I've lived in Alamo seven years. Love this drive. You must have a lot of great wildlife at that place in the wilderness. Wonderful! Thanks for posting this one.

Wow we went through there heading west Feb. 2003 and it was snowing . Saw a mule deer just outside of Cloudcroft.Stopped after the tunnel to take pictures. Still have them on the fridge! Loved it want to go back maybe even move there.🌲❄☀💦🌲

I must have taken that ride hundreds of times in the five years I spent at HAFB.Awesome area to ride motorcycles!

The look out at 1:12 before the tunnel that's a portal between the desert canyon and the mountains of green. And let's not forget that trestle at 3:20. Then finally the best little town in the world at 3:39. This is favorite drive in the world. Thank you for uploading this.

I did not go to the top. A reported cave location was about halfway to Cloudcroft. Had to walk uphill and cross-country to find it. That was information I obtained from one National Speleological Society Pecos Valley Grotto member.

Thank for the upload. I was stationed at Holloman AFB. I miss Alamogordo so damn much. Funny how you can hate a place so much, but then after you leave you miss it.

0:47 there is a gate right there that leads to a flat area where you can shoot guns such a nice place and the people there are very nice
