Agreed. He was one of the few liberals you could actually talk to. He didn't get nasty and personal. He didn't talk over you. The fact a lot of people like Al Franken & Jon Stewart didn't like him was a badge of honor. RIP sir.
kmax MacDonald higher birth rates go with poor underclass. numbers have nothing to do with superiority. but we DO need a large underclass to exploit. so. let em fuck :3 just let em fuck
I don't mind blacks in leadership. There are plenty of blacks who are more aligned with the constitutional beliefs that I have. It's not always about racism. It certainly isn't in my case. Alan Colmes is off the mark, here. Sorry.
I just pay attention to Alan not long ago. Mainly because he worked at FOX news and I assumed he was another douchebag like every one at FOX. Sorry for that. I think you are alright. I like the way you view things and comment without a bias
So what?? Many European descendants think that they are legal. Like all of the past presidents has been porn of their European forfathers. Like non of you ppl is of this land.
+Ryan Taite This guy should be fired from Fox, ASAP! and someone should inform Colmes, that the words racist and bigots, have out lived their use, years ago!!
In fairness to Mr. Colmes he started on WABC then went to WNBC and was there until NBC shut down their radio division. So he's had Radio experience for 30+ years. And no I'm not a Liberal and yes I've done radio as well. I respect people who started from the ground up regardless of their politics.
I'm always reminded of this guy's AM radio career when he did a morning show on WABC in New York and was once mugged on his way in. Hearing him on the radio that day was absolutely hilarious-this liberal who had come face to face with reality. Some of the highlights included his stammering apologetic description of the muggers (they were black, but Colmes hurriedly assured the audience that he wasn't a racist) and his 180 degree turn on gun control ("If I had a gun, I would've used it!"). The guy's always been a pantywaist liberal and always will be.
Your problem, of course, is the same problem shared by all right-wing extremists: the inability to distinguish between a gut-level emotional reaction and actual rational thinking.
I wrote this over 2 years ago, and Colmes has since passed away. I try to avoid speaking ill of the dead. The mugging incident to which I refer happened not too long after the Bernard Goetz episode, during which Colmes was his typically obnoxious Manhattan liberal self, declaring that Goetz was a racist, and so was anyone who supported him. Interesting that he and Jimmy Breslin, who was probably the 1st to wave the "racist" flag at Goetz and his supporters, and like Colmes was also the victim of a mugging by a group of blacks later on, both died within a few months of each other.
As always right-wing republican extremists can't help contradicting themselves as they go from one sentence to the next. "I try to avoid speaking ill of the dead . . . Colmes was his typically obnoxious Manhattan liberal self." Hey, how about this? Screw you and the horse you rode in on.
I said "I try", not always successfully. But calling Colmes an obnoxious Manhattan liberal isn't exactly inaccurate, or defamatory. I doubt Colmes himself would have had much of a problem with it. Having said that, why don't you blow away, chum?
